Well, I don't know if this is exactly the right place to ask this, but I need help with girl names, and a few guy names for a story I'm planning to post soon. So, if you have any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm... First I'd like to know what kind of story you're going to be making.
Is it a sci-fi or a fantasy or a realistic story? I think that's pretty important to know.
Do you want real, existing names or can we make up flashy or archaic names?
I'll respond with some names when you have answered this. :)

It's going to be a bit fantasy-ish. Real or unique names would be nice :).

For fantasy names, there's a helpful generator here.

If it's considered advertising, then staff can remove it 'cause I'm not really sure if this is advertising because it's a generator for names... but yeah I find it pretty useful xD

I can come up with plenty of names, however I tend to base them on people's characters and personality.

If some sort of guideline on the character's personality was posted, I might be able to help.

Not too much but you'll manage with that name generator. Good luck!

Simple names can be affective, or shortening existing names can help, or even changing the letters used.

eg Christopher = Rist, Toph, Kris, Chris, Sirch (Chris backwards)

Elizabeth = Liza, Zabe, Eli, Bazi, Zeth

Writing the names of people who inspire you can also be valuable name resources
