This idea will sound kinda wierd at first but oh well.

Could we be able to see who has viewed the threads we've posted? I know this sounds stupid but for most of my threads, I've gotten 60 something views and 0 replies. I feel a bit discouraged when i see the 0, so if we can see who has viewed our threads, i wouldn't feel that bad about posting threads.

Plz delete this if this is really wierd. I don't want to take up space for something stupid :cryinganime:

It is possible. I've seen it on the Cave of the Dragonflies forum, which is currently down, which also uses vBulletin

Seeing who in the past has viewed the threads...that would kind of be intrusive and just unnecessary. You can see how many views have happened to the thread already so no reason to know -who- all was there in the past. You can see who is viewing your thread if you remain in it and refresh or leave and go in now and then. Anything above that really just isn't needed.

I can understand why you might get discouraged at seeing no one has responded to your posts but people surely will. Have no worries about that. Sometimes a post topic just may not interest them at the time or they just can't think of a thing to say in response. it doesn't mean all of your threads will be ignored so keep plugging away and also get to know others by posting in their threads more too. That way you become more familiar to people and you get to know them. Note, we responded here so it doesn't happen all the time.

I'll start this how i start most of my posts in this section:

What's the bloody point? It's not like seeing views makes it any more better for a non posted thread owner, it'll cause hassle really, as it'll be a case of "Oh..Repliku looked in my thread, but he never posted, that makes me sad, he didn't like it enough to post in it *slit slit*" Exagerated maybe, but the base facts are still there, it's silly and not really needed for the forum if you want a thread with posts in it, make a game in spam, they get whored with posts.

um...dude...that was...kind of harsh. He just asked, and you could already tell he was nervous about the idea in terms of bringing it up so need to come down that way...

Anyway, im sorry shadow of sephiroth, but I dont think that idea quite works...if people are not reading your threads maybe they aren't doing it for a reason? I mean, sometimes you need a good title to get people interested...if it sounds weird or too offbeat then no one will look.

Oh and I hate to make kh-vids sound...erm..."dumb." But I'm guilty of this myself. If you type in long paragraphs and have a REALLY huge post, then no one will take the time to read it. Because either people want the post count, or something they wouldnt get bored while reading. Still, if you have something too short, like a yes no question, then people will think that your dumb and no one will post their either. Usually I just have a small paragraph of what I want to say and a kickass title. Its pretty sucessful most of the time unless its in the spamzone... but I digress. Just do some of the things I wrote up there, and you should be fine. :D

Calm down folks... anyone is allowed to suggest something. The thing with views is that it includes guests and ad bots, also some people will feel "awkward" surfing the forums knowing they're tracked. Thanks for the suggestion, but it's not really needed. -Closed-
