Text talk could be a sign of laziness! There are other signs like:

    - watching TV for more than 2 hours.
    - Parents not forcing kids to do chores.
    - Kids having servants when they are perfecally able bodied
    - Teenagers getting a ridiculously expinsive sweet 16 when all there lives they just sat around eating cheeseballs around the house.
    - Kids being excesively spoiled and they complain when they have a lot already.

There are some kids out there that are really poor and they have to work, but do lazy kids care about them NO most of them don't want to give!

Laziness is becoming a part of society and it will eventually make society collapse. All kids shouldn't have to work for a living but they should at least get basic chores to do.

Also text talk is a sign of laziness espcially on a forum where you can edit your posts! Text talk for a cell phone is okay but on a forum

THAT'S JUST A TOTAL NO NO!

I like technology probably more than most of you guys but I take time to type out my words like people should. It also helps you sell during the school year.(Then again I don't text message)

People are constantly trying to help you at a little kids age (the wiggles, arthur, teletubies, and dora the explorer as I regret to post) to care and share no matter how much self respect they must give to help everyone. They also try to help you now (the kids chanel anyway) to keep you from being lazy.

It's summer people! get out go play and hopefully touch someone's life (IN A GOOD WAY!).

    Here are some helpful tips:

-Get involved in a sport. (basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, football, ect.)
-Give old clothes you can't fit to a charity and or preticipate in a canned food drive.
-Lastly don't drink or eat other peoples food you really don't want to get mono, and no one wants to eat or drink out of what you ate od drank out of. Trust me

Hmmm...You have a point. Kids today are very lazy and somehow will destroy the backbone of our civilization (well, maybe not the destruction of civilization thing). But I don't begrudge other people for being lazy, even though a majority of kids in my neighborhood have almost no chores, and ride around in golf carts and mopeds like bums.

    I just have a bike.

I don't hate those nice rich people but I really hate it when people think it's all about them.

Sadly, this is what the world is like now.

    Lots of money=Lots of power.

But some rich people are not lazy though.

this may be spamming, but i laughed my head off when i saw this. the guy who wrote a lot of famous musicals, (i think one of them was the phantom of the opera) turned into a multi millionare. he was arrogant and unpleasant. once he asked an aquitance(sp?), 'Why does everyone take an instant dislike to me?' the man replied, 'It saves time.' Shows you something, dunnit? rich powerful, = Ok. Arrogant, rude,= no one likes you.

Well, I think you have a point. A large amount of kids and teens are getting lazier now that the amount of high-paying jobs is on the rise. (Of course, there are still plenty that don't, but you have to look at the amount of new companies opening up that need CEOs and other important people.) I don't know if they're actually going to ruin us, since there are still plenty of people with far less money than them to balance everything out.

You forgot one thing on the laziness list:

    -Going on internet fourms!

Then that makes us all lazy. Part from what Zexion said, I wouldn't see my self as lazy all the time, althought I get a lot of things I want, I do help my mum around the house and all, and I hate tex-talk, when I'm sending a text, I write the whole word. But I can be lazy most time but that's just the way I am.

Okay I do text talk but almost everyone does, it's shorter for the word your trying to say, like you could say I 8 my breakfast this morning or something like that and I doubt that would be considered lazy, because even adults do it aswell, it's just to make words shorter, it's like saying wouldn't, the longer term would be would not but it's just to make it shorter, but I agree with the rich thing, if they have servants and stuff, technology isn't laziness, if it was I wouldn't be typing such a long Paragraph right now and email is a faster way to send a letter.

Yeah. But certain technology like a digital DVD opener is ridiculous! I think pretty much everyone can open a DVD container by themselves. Most of the time they have help and if they don't they find other ways.

But in most cases technology can be helpful, and I'm not against technology.

Also about text talk: I'm just saying typing out the whole word helps you in spelling. But that just may be me.

That's the top of lazyness. And it's just ridicilous unless you are handicapped and can't more your arms.

    Yep.

Yes it does help tp type out whole words and it makes people understand you better. It's not so easy understanding some one that types like this " u r S t U piDz! ". Or things like that.

i understand it all, but i hate it on forums. with text messaging, it makes texts shorter and cheaper, and on IM you can say what you want to say faster. but forums and the rest... just no.

Text talk is the only language I can think of that's bad to be fluent in. Why? Because it is a mockery of English. You will never sound intelligent if you write like that, no matter what it is you're saying. I suppose it's okay to do in instant messaging if you want to say something fast, but that's about it. I don't even use it then, it takes me longer to figure out that I have to write a "2," than it does to write the word "to." Things like "lol" are exceptable, because it's been used so often, it's not so much short hand, rather an expression.

So basically, I agree with you. However, telling people to participate in a sports club is kind of a turn off. You're basically telling lazy people (and I think I can safetly say that we're all guilty of that to some extent) to go from doing nothing straight to being very active with absolutely no transition. I personnally hate joining sports teams, I mean, it's fun at first, but then you only go because you have to, not because you want to. I reccommend getting together with friends often, and every once in a while, do something active with them. That way, if you don't feel like going one day, you won't get kicked off the team because you didn't show up. Leave it to yourself to decide when you go outside, just make sure you do it.
