I read a Let's Play where they picked the Totodile starter. Somewhere along the line, they released it in favor of a Wooper. The Totodile then proceeded to be a crazed killer. 8D

 

Totodile and Cyndaquil are both worthy choices. Chikorita's move pool just plain sucks, even if I started with one the first time I played Pokemon Gold :<

 

I think they are calling it Bird Muhammad this time around.

I do that... xD Well I would if I played Pokemon but I know I would always choose Cyndaquil, I don't even care how good he is, he's awesome! Literally, his back in on fire...

 

I chose Chikorita, because I love grass type starters. I always choose the grass type starter.

 

There are actually people in this world who don't pick Cyndaquil.

 

I do this sometimes, hasn't really ever backfired except for Snivy in some cases as it had an awful movepool.

for me at least, haha. I usually like having a lot of different moves for wider coverage, and I just ended up sticking with Leaf Blade/Leech Seed/Coil/Dragon Tail since there wasn't too much else I thought was worth it.

 

see i'm not that systematic when i play pokemon. i pick everything based on how cool it looks, pokemon, moves, everything.
which is why grass is my favorite type, i just think they have the coolest... everything. roselia
except the starters. the starters are terrible barring snivy
