The thing i love most about this picture is: 1. Use of extreme shading, really makes it unique:) 2. the colors are very vibrant, love both of their hair colors!! 3. the clothing is really realistic in terms of fitting on the bodies. (the folds of the fabric match) I REALLY love the one gal's yellow bandana, its really a cute design. 4. the embracing hands are well done! i have a hard time with those... (i'm also curious as to what's above their hands. the yellow thing that looks like an asterisk an the bottom part of Italy ) Things that could use work: (cause it never hurts to improve, right?) 1. If you're going with the lines for the background, just be VERY careful with them. they kinda waver here and there. so in the future, try to really make them at the same distance in order to amplify the picture. (i dont disagree with the lines now, they really work well, they just are a distraction when they aren't all the same length apart:)) 2. make the pupils and outline of all 4 eyes a little more darker, the red ones are really faint, kinda distracts from the rest of the well darkened areas. 3. the horizontal lines on the clothes; i dunno if they are because of the watercolor media style (i personally have a love/hate relationship with watercolor. it looks great when well applied, like yours, but if you dont do things fast and efficiently the first time, it really ruins the art.) OR because you took a pic with the camera. All in all, this was a good turn out. It's really cute, i want it:) hahaa but keep up the good work, i would love to see more of your work!!!
Wow thanks for the advice! Yea I really need a scanner so the pictures can really be examined but what can you do? I work with what I have. As for the piece above the held hands.... Well it's a part of her hair piece. If you look closely you will recognize the flower pattern in the shadowed parts, matches the flowers in her head piece. It's kinda a lolita thing.
