What's so special about this series? Everyone's like OMGOMGOMG TWILIGHT IS LOVE!

I read some of it. Seriously, wtf is so awesome about it?

 

That's what I wanna know. I was reading the first chapter and I'm like "Girl moves to Washington, new school, new friends, dreamy guy acts weird, day end." BORING!

 

I've read all the books and i'm not like omg i love twilight it's so good, but i liked the books.

Like they're just kinda good books i've read before. I don't freak out about them, nor do i see why other people do. They're just books.

 

Well, most of the people I know who I've talked to about twilight told me its writing is terrible, BUT, girls (mainly) still read it because its basically all about this one vampire guy.

 

Nothing is special about it. The author brutally raped what a vampire is.

Did you know that when in sunlight, they don't burn up and die, like a vampire SHOULD?

Well, instead, they...FUCKING SPARKLE. YEAH. THEY SPARKLE. THAT IS LIKE, THE COMPLETE FREAKIN' OPPOSITE OF WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN! DAMMIT TWILIGHT, I HATE YOU!

Okay, just kidding. I really like the series because I find that it's well-written (not necessarily from a grammatical point of view. Trust me, I'm a grammar nazi. But also, keep in mind, Twilight was the first thing she wrote. Ever. Not bad, hm?) and, once you get past Bella and her "OMG I'm not special enough even though I'm dating a vampire and my bff's a werewolf and I have about eighteen other guys drooling over me!"-ness, it's actually really interesting. I actually like it because it's written in a fairly casual style, which means it's more like you're actually listening to a seventeen-year-old talk to you.

Plus Edward. We all love Edward because he's the super-romantic ideal.

And he sparkles. I think that's hot.

 

I didn't really like it that much but everyone else was reading it D: heh I almost lost my love for vampires after that so I watched and read the good old vampire stories. But the writting was okay I have to admit.


I even know a street called Twilight. Someone in school almost went crazy over it ><​

 

Not a fan of love novels so I don't plan on reading it.
Go read Watchmen. Or "Anthem".

 

I think this thread should be about Watchmen now.

Rorschach is one of the most interesting characters i have ever read about.

 

hahaha I like the series. I thought it was a good book to read and it made me read more. So I guess that's a good thing. I'm not crazy that will scream for Edward Cullen, though I wish there was an Edward Cullen for me. I'm watching the movie. but I will spaz at the girls that will continuously keep screaming everytime Edward comes on the screen. I will yell and say "SHUT THE **** UP, and let everyone watch the god damn movie"

 

Of course, I'm not saying I hate the series, I'm just wondering why everyone thinks it's so wonderful.

But, I'm guessing that here that's not that case... xD

 

It's basically... finding a guy that you ever dreamed of coming true. To put it more buntly.. it's like Pride and Prejuidice in modern times XD
