I just saw the trailer for Twilight, and, I'm sorry, I just don't like the look of it. It angered me. I know it's just a teaser, but Robert Pattinson didn't strike me as "Wow, he really pulled off being Edward!". Kristen Stewert...I don't know yet, but Robert really let me down.

Has anyone else seen the trailer?

I saw the trailer,I have to admit I'm very excited for this movie but I'm upset with most of the actors they casted ( like Kristen and Nikki ). Kristen doesn't know how to act really and Nikki doesn't resemble Rosalie at all in my opinion, the book describes her as the most beautiful girl you've ever seen and to me,she's not.

Robert is doing great as Edward,he's as handsome as they describe Edward Cullen, you'll just have to wait for the movie and find out.

    I agree!

Nikki isn't THAT pretty.. no offence because Rosalie is supposed to be the "prettiest of them all" and Kristen.. has kinda a manly voice. I'd prefer Emily Browning and Gaspard something.. Robert I find is alright. He can make a good Edward but not the perfect Edward. Cedric Diggory is hot though xD I'm still seeing it even if it does suck. Plus they already messed it up for me.. when they are talking in the forest ....in the book they are in the freakin car xD

Hmm, I haven't read the book but my some of my friends are real fans of it. Usually, I see the movie first and then "read" the book to compare the two. As a regular movie it looks okay but if I had read the book, maybe my opinion might have changed. Just remember that movies are, IMO, supposed to be different than the original book. Otherwise, what's the point? =|

Oh and one more thing, what I meant by being different from the book, I didn't mean to completely change the whole story. As long as they keep the characters right and story plots spot on, then they can have a few minor changes.

It does seem different from the book but at the same time it's a movie and sometimes changes have to happen to make it move more. As long as it doesn't turn out like Queen of the Damned, I will be okay with it. QotD was the worst movie adaption from a book I'd ever seen.

any book to movie always disapoints a fan of the book...
because everyone has their own visuals and own set story and own opinions... and when you watch someone elses.. it's just a lot worse than what youwere hoping for...

but... no i don't think i'm going to watch it..

Honestly... All the talk of TWILIGHT these days have only ruined my will to both read and watch the movie [and I'm a vampire freak]. I was curious to a certain extent, but the constant nagging and fandom is starting to get on my nerves. *sigh* Pity, I really did want to see the movie and read the book.

But I do agree that any book that gets turned into a movie only leads to despair. However, I guess... I'll read the book once it's no longer popular, and see the movie A LOT later. T_T

Well, I saw it and it looks terrible, but then again I also hate the books. I used to like them, then I re-read them and realized how awful the characters were, but that's just my opinion. I'm going to see the movie, but Kristen Stewart doesn't seem right for the part (I'm hoping maybe she'll bring some actual strength/independence to Bella's character that the book character lacks).

I hope I haven't offended anybody, by the way. It's fine if you like it.

I saw the trailer a while ago. Despite certain things such as Edward's actor being nothing like how I pictured him in my head, I'm still very psyched for this movie (The BellaxEdwardxVan scene looks amazing). Movies very rarely do a fab book justice, but I'm a good fangirl and will most definitely be seeing this when it's released.

    I'm afraid i don't understand this post.

Why wouldn't you read something because it's popular? Because other people enjoy it?

That doesn't make sense to me. If a book is popular, and lots of people enjoy it, it's usually for a good reason, i.e. the book is good? Maybe?

Just watched the trailer, and i'm kinda on the fence about this one. It looks alright, but i dunno. I don't put much trust in trailers. I'm pretty sure that the movie will be no where near as good as the book, but it'll probably be okay.

It's a book series about a girl, Bella, who moves to a town called Forks in Washington. When she's there, she meets Edward Cullen, who is a vampire (That's not a spoiler because it says he's a vampire on the back of the book.) And...if I say anything else, that'd be a spoiler. But, yeah. It's REALLY well-written, and, though Bella does get annoying, Edward is totally worth reading it for. (Yes, I am an Edward fangirl and PROUD OF IT!!!)

Actually, I really like Kirsten for the part of Bella. She looks so average, and it's perfect for the part. And in my opinion, she's a great actor. At least in Speak she was really good. She had a small part in Into the Wild, and she delivered it well.

YES YES YES. I love Gaspard. He would be such perfection for the part of Edward. Patz has too much of strange beauty in my opinion -- Gaspard kind of has that "if you just glance by he's not that wonderful, but when you really look at him, he's stunning."

For those poor souls who don't know who Gaspard is, this is him:

I've not read the book (coz i can't find it) but that film just looks terrible that guy who's playing Edward doesn't seem to be putting in much effort.

I think its been a letdown... Seeing the advertisement gave no oomph to make me want to watch it much... It was too damn weird. (Well... I've read the book already too... So...)
