My dad confiscated the book from me -_-;

I wanted a fight, too~ Seriously, I was sitting there, like "OMGZ OMGZ BELLA JUST SHOOT THE GUY OR SOMETHING!" & you don't even get to see her in action D:

Meyer should right a book about Nessie, or something. Maybe a prologue. You know?

I was on Wiki and I saw at the bottom that there was a list of all of the books. It says that Midnight Sun's postponed. So maybe we'll get it soon?

 

oh noes! the second my language arts teacher hears about this she is gonna explode. she's pregnant, loves twilight, and is ready to kill us all. D=>

 

It's "put on hold indefinitely". We don't know if it will finally be released or not; Stephenie Meyer needs to sort out her feelings first.

 

Yeah, what Yuki said. But really, I am in no rush for it because it's just in the head of the lovely Edward Cullen. Still, it's still the same story line just with different words.

 

This, pretty much. I wouldn't mind reading it; it would be really really interesting. But we *do* know much of what happens, so it's not like we're missing a gigantic chunk of the Twilight story.

Now, if she did this for say, New Moon, it'd be a bit more frustrating because there's the whole chunk where Edward is missing. But since it's Twilight and he's with Bella nearly the entire time, it's not that big a deal to me.

 

I'm pretty upset about this. I was really looking forward to this because Edward's so mysterious. I've been DYING to know what he's really thinking and what his motives are... Sure, it's the same story, but it helps to explain the original story a bit better. And I'd like to know what he's doing when he's not with Bella at some points. :P

But I can kind of understand Stepenie's reasoning. Emotions play into stories alot, and when you're ticked off or upset, then it's really hard to write a story the way you originally planned. :/

And I can't get the file to work, which is also upsetting. T.T

What is Midnight Sun?

 

It's the book Twilight from Edwards point of view.

 

ok its says "my partial draft of Midnight Sun was illegally posted on the Internet " ok well thats not all of it!!! Meyer is being so stupid, this is great! if anything its going to make people want it more because they got a taste of it. Yeah I'd be pissed if it was done without my permission too but still

 

she is not being stupid. What those people did was ILLEGAL. I'm a pretty big fan of the series myself and I would much prefer to wait for it to come out than read it on the internet. Because if you do that, then it just takes the surprise out of it.​

 

Tomorrow, on the Ellen show, Stephenie is going to be interviewed, and Ellen has stated that she is going to talk to her about Midnight Sun, and maybe convince her to continue to write it. Hopefully she can get through to her.

 

yes hopefully. Even though it's the exact same as twilight it's from edward's point of veiw and I think that would be a good read.

do you think she would write new moon from edward's PoV as well?

I think she might. I know that she has some other stories she wants to write and she wants to spend some time with her family. Although, I think I would rather read more in the main series. Like a book after Breaking Dawn, but have it told by a different character in different parts, like she did with B.D.

 

Just as a note - Don't post here saying "BAH TWILIGHT SUCKS JHDFKLJGADF" or if you have no idea what this topic is about. That's how spam is born. And Wolfie does not like spam. :3

Back on topic, yeah, this is a huge disappointment. But I don't think Meyer's being stupid. :\
Think of it this way: You're an artist and you spend months painting an elaborate work, only to have someone take a picture of it before you're completely done, post it online, and say that it's their work in progress.
Not exactly the best feeling in the world. In today's age, copyright infringement is serious, mostly because of the internet, as in this case. Hopefully Meyer can be convinced to continue writing, and that may be helped depending on how well the movie does. All we can do now is hope. D:
Also, Meyer said that the book was probably going to be longer than Twilight originally was due to the fact that Edward tends to overthink and analyze things. xDD

 

it all dependson your point of view, i want her to finish it. but it was also a partial copy not a complete one, I like spoilers becasue if I'm told someone is going to die in a series i want to know so i can see it animated or acted out depends in what the show is. I dont blame her for being pissed Id be pissed too but since its a partial draft that was leaked id look at it more in terms of illegal publicity. other then the fact that it was done with out her permission this isnt much different from the preview she put on her website.

 

I just watched the clip of the interview on YouTube; nothing about Breaking Dawn was mentioned =(
