Becky slowly stood up and looked around, but screamed and hugged Nymph again when another flash of lightning came. Tears started to run down her cheeks. There was a blood spot on her shirt where one of her wounds had opened.

 

Espying the blood spot on her clothes, Nymph gasped, bringing her hand up to comfortingly stroke her blonde hair. "It's okay, Becky...it's okay...I'm here...are...are you hurt in any way?"

 

Becky held Nymph tightly and cried. She looked down at the blood spot on her clothes. "It doesn't hurt..." she said. "I didn't even feel it..." she squealed again as there was more lightning.

 

Holding her tightly, Nymph began to hum a soothing song. "A 1000 words...called out through the ages...they'll cradle you...suspended on silver wings..."

 

Becky continued to cry, but calmed down as Nymph hummed her song.

 

As the lightning became less prominent and more distant, Nymph stopped humming and just continued embracing Becky, holding her warmly.
"Do you hear how far it is now?" she whispered. "It's almost gone now..."

 

Becky wiped away her tears and looked up at Nymph. "Good riddance..." she said and laughed. She hugged Nymph tightly. "Thank you..." she said.

 

"You know I'm always there for you honey," Nymph said, giving her one last affectionate squeeze before withdrawing. "Now tell me...what happened? How did you get hurt? And are you absolutely okay?"

 

"Becky frowned as she thought bck to the horrible memory. "Two twins ghosts attacked me and Kent..." she said and stood up. "They cut us with knives and we desperately tried to escape..." a tear rolled down her cheek. She winced in pain and looked down at the blood spot on her shirt.

 

Covering her mouth to stifle a gasp, Nymph murmured, "I'm so sorry, Becky...I'm sorry...I...I didn't know...are...are you sure you're alright? And is Kent okay?"

 

Becky looked up at Nymph and smiled. "We're both fine..." she said. "Fire got me out of there... but I sent him back to get Kent. We both made it out safely... although I never found out what happened to the ghosts..."

 

"So...where did these ghosts...attack you?" Nymph asked, tilting her head to the side slightly.

 

Becky grabbed the bandages and started to redo her wound that had opened. "In Kent's room..." she said. "I was freaked out at the moment because you have... dead body parts in the basement..." She sighed as she messed up with the bandages and started over. "I think Kent almost didn't make it..." she said.

 

"Hey, don't fret about that thought," Nymph said, hastily. "Everything's fine now, don't worry..." She hesitated for a moment. "Um...you didn't happen to see...anyone enter the guest room earlier? Where Meg was?"

Mega had woken up slightly, but felt like she was gonna throw up.. 'What had happened', she thought to herself, wracking her head but it was in pain, she managed to call out Nymph's name, as she was the last person she remebered, but it came out very faint

 

Becky nodded and looked up at Nymph. "I did acctually..." she said. "Some guy in a cloak... he was holding a sunkist can..." she stared at Nymph. "Why? What happened?"

"Uh...nothing to alarm you about really," Nymph said, not wanting to worry her. Hearing Meg's soft voice, she tilted her head up. "Oh...um...Becca...wait here? Please? Need anything just call me!"
Turning, she quickly rushed down the hallway and into the bedroom. "Meg? Are you alright?"

 

Becky nodded as Nymph ran out the door and finished the bandages. She stood up slowly and walked towards the door, but then suddenly stopped. She didn't want to be a spy... but what the heck was going on?
