Ximlan began to stir. He felt like someone had dropped the castle on him. A million questions passed though his head. The main one was why had he been betrayed yet again. He had come in good faith. Kinara was there. He slowly pulled himself into a sitting position and rested his head on his knees. He had been rejected and humiliated again. He couldn't understand why no one ever wanted him. Perhaps he would die alone.
