Twilight-Devils Lake

Hearing voices above her Athena quickly rose to the surface of the lake.

 

Rella laughed some more, "I better head to school. My parents are already freaking about my atendence."

 

Jayz watched Athena rise from the water, just watching her quietly.

 

"Oh, I know I haven't gone in a while, but I guess I could go today, I'll just have to muddle through somehow." She gave a short laugh and reluctantly left the lake.

 

Huh, Melissa thought, maybe I won't go to school today...

She turned around and darted towards the parking lot.

"Miss Torix, don't you think you should be getting to class?" Shoot! "Er..." Melissa supressed a sigh. Even though she didn't want to do this to a teacher, she supposed it was necessary. She looked right into her teacher's eyes and looked deep into her mind's eye. Finding the right memory wasn't too hard; as it had just happened, it was right there. She broke it in two and watched it fade away. Mrs. Smith (the teacher) wobbled a moment, muttered something about a bad headache, then stumbled off. I'd best be going...

 

"No, i dont think so," Rella said walking to the school's direction, "Just stay around here till you really know you can handle it. I dont want my best freind to get into major touble. You have enough practiceing on me."

 

Jayz stayed by the lake. There was no way he was going to school. No way at all. There were too many people there. Too many snacks.

 

Trying not to look to jubilant Athena said "If you insist." and sat down with her leggs crossed and staired at the surface of the cool unbroken strech of water.

Melissa gazed around the small meadow by the school. The wind carried a familier scent to her nose... Is that, she wondered, another vampire?

She followed the scent.

 

Jayz stepped up to Athena. "Um...hey...are you..."

 

Rella made it to the front of the school. "Oh joy."

 

Turning Athena saw a vampire right by her. "Vampire ya, what are you doing here. There aren't usually any others around here."

 

Jayz shrugged. "Just hanging around. I'm Jayz."

 

Rella was going through the day with people comenting about her being warmer than useual and thinking the day was slower than normal.

 

"Athena, nice to meat you." turning suddenly she said, "Do you have friends around here."

 

Slowly, Melissa found herself looking out at a crystal clear lake. She gazed at it for a minute, thinking, wow, it's so pretty! She looked up from the water and saw two beings (vampires, she realized by the scent) across the lake from her. Should i go say hi...?

 

"Friends?...no...why?"

BOC: Rella was sent home early, "Geez, I'm not sick. People are just cold." She went back to the lake.

 

" If you don’t have any friends around here then who is that on the other side of the lake?" Athena questioned.

 

Jayz turned his eyes up, spotting the girl imediatly. "No clue." He raised his hand to her, telling her they were friends.
