So everyone who already played the whole Square Enix and Jupiter Title The World Ends With You can stop and remember how Neku, for example, was before a, two, three and four weeks. What do you think about this evolution that the characters like Shiki or Neku have?
What kind of evolution do you mean? If you mean the emotional evolution, which is the only one that even comes to mind, then it might be better if you specify it.
Oops, sorry. The emotional evolution, the difference between they at the beginning and they at the ending. Example, Neku was always saying "Who needs friends? They only bring hurt. >=L" and then at the end he is "Did I mentioned? I have friends now! Hanging out together for the first time in a week. =)", Shiki and Beat also have this kind of evolution as person, I'm not sure if Joshua had, I didn't watch the Secret Ending. I don't care about spoilers either, so please comment!
Well basically, TWEWY for me, is facing who they are at Week 1 and evovle further. Neku - He slowly learns teh values of having friends and not blocking out everyone else despite initally refusing to help out anyone. Joshua - He originally planned on ending Shibuya because he felt humans have no more to offer until he met Neku who he chose as his proxy, observing humanity and seeing his proxy change himself. Shiki - She originally wanted to becoe like Eri in appearance but she realizes that it wasn't right and desired to be herself despite not looking attractive to others. Beat - He saw Rhyme as his only true partner since they are siblings and wanted nothing more to protect her and chose to do what he could to save her, even becoming a Reaper and risking his own existence when he starts fading away, aprtnering with Neku and decided they weren't just partners but friends. So in retrospect, TWEWY kinda revovles around you looking past who you are and learning something new and taking a step into uncharted terrority despite the fears that await you, plus it also shown that even a withdrawn person like Neku could change and connect with people despite the way he first looked at things.
I have a feeling they might be toned down a bit. Neku almost says "b---h" a few times in the first week and Beat says "what the hell" a lot when he gets hit if I remember correctly.
I feel behind since I haven't actually played the game, but it sounds like something that can fit into the Kingdom Hearts universe well, especially with Riku's side of the story.
