    So I drew Demyx and Zexion's Somebodies

    [IMG]

    Name: Dmyteri Edouard Allegro
    Nickname: Myde
    Book: Twilight

    On this one I was playing with tone. I tried to make it all kinda bluish. Can you tell?

    And...

    [IMG]

    Name: Ienzo Apollos Kollias
    Book: The Picture of Dorian Gray

    First of all, it is freaking HARD to draw Ansem the Wise!

    But seriously, on this one I was working with perspective and shading.

    So, yeah. What do you guys think?

    Everything below the neck seems a bit too thin. I think you should give them more muscle and not all bone. XDDD But nice job and good imagination. ^^

    These look kinda like stick figures. Don't be afraid to add more to their body. People aren't naturally that skinny.

    Well, you seem to have some difficulties with the anatomy, like Sho says they are simply too skinny for the human body. Because of that the heads tend to look way too big for their bodies to carry, you know? I also noticed on Dmyteri that you drew the wrong hand on his left arm, his thumb should be on the left for us who is seeing from this angle. :3 At the moment Ienzo's body looks like it is lying in an umcomfortable position when he has no back support such as pillows.

    I like your choise of settings though. :3 That library room looks very detailed, you must have spent a lot of hours on it. I can spot some of your shading, yes, but if you really want to take advantage of your colour pencils you should use the crosshading method:

    You draw the strokes when colouring like this~
    /////////// - lightest touch
    \\\\\\\\\\\ - slightly harder touch
    //// or == - slightly harder touch

    This way it should cover more of the areas you want in colour instead of those white gaps being everywhere. :> Try this method for your next drawing and see how that goes.

    My reccomendation for you is to continue drawing, and try building up the body structure by starting out with simple stick figures, then add orbs and cubes for the joints and muscles, like those wooden practice figures related to art. :3 Once you understand how something is built up it is easier to get it on the paper.

    Thanks for the help!

    I know they look like sticks. It's how all my drawings look. (No joke, my friends always ask, "Why are your characters always anorexic?") I'm trying to even them out proportionally, and thanks so much for tips on shading! X3
