Truth through time.

The back of Gabriel's neck itched. He stopped dancing and looked around, "You get the feeling of being watched?" His gray eyes flitted about calmly.


Sorcha was starting to doze off. Without Gabriel's nonsense chatter in her ear or anything amusing to keep her awake, the exhaustion from having her son caught up to her.

 

Eliza frowned, "I think so..." She looked around.

There was just an empty space where the figure had been.

 

Gabriel frowned, "Hm, could it have just been my imagination?" His gray eyes softened, "It couldn't have been of great importance."

 

Eliza briefly frowned, "I guess so." She began dancing again, "So, have you got a job?"

 

Gabriel laughed, he thought her casual question was funny, "Yes, I work for a large corporation where we make FBI styled gagets and gizmoes." He knew he didn't look the scientist/inventor type with his clothes he wore now but he tried to take a measure of serenity into the workplace. "What of you? A mother without a husband, surely a job must be too much for you."

 

Eliza raised her eyebrows, "Impressive and you're only partly right. I'm at university studing physics, though I get paid for the work I do in my course."

 

Gabriel's dance continued, "Ah, a studying mother." He fell silent in thought.

 

"Amy...if you knew what he'd done to you in the past...you wouldnt want him"Zack was slurring

 

Rita's attention got drawn over to Zack and Amy, She squinted at Zack wondering what he was telling Amy. What ever it was she hoped it wasn't bad.

 

" what are you talking about?"

 

"Yeah" She smiled as she moved her body to the music, she looked at his face, "What're you thinking?"

The figure had reappeared, standing on the other side of the room to where he was before. Still watching the two dancing, Rita, Toby, Zach and Amy.

 

Toby's eyes narrowed as he spotted the figure

 

The figure sighed as another of his subjects spotted him, it was not his day today, being suspected three times in short succesion, it was unthinkable normally. He looked down, moved behind a large crowd nearby and vanished.

 

"weird...."Toby muttered

 

Gabriel looked to Sorcha who was now dozing at the table, "Sorcha studies a lot too. Though what she studies, I'm not even sure what it is." The sunlight came through an open window, hitting his back and outlining his massive white wings. "I don't even remember the reason why I fell with her..." he mumbled quietly to himself.

 

Eliza smiled and raised her eyebrows at his wings, "Woah, impressive wings. But no, whatever she studies I'm sure she be brilliant at it"

 

"Your death is his fault..."


"what...?"

"Its always been his fault...not mine."

 

Gabriel shivered, "No, what Sorcha studies...it's something dark. Each time I walk into her lab, I get the feeling there's something...watching me in there." Gabriel felt the threads of destiny begin to shift as Zack started to tell Amy the truth. He looked around, wishing he could intervene.

 

Eliza frowned, "What's wrong?"

 

"He would have you believe that it was my fault....that it was always my fault....when in fact it wasnt..."


Toby was suddenly thereyanking him to his feet,"Time to go home Zack.."He said quickly
