Truth through time.

"Okay, but be careful. Make sure you're not seen." Amatae said to Eliza, quietly.

Amatae gave a nod to Rita. "I met him by falling over because of a strange wind. If that wind was me, then I've no choice." She sent another gust of wind to completely knock the past Amatae into Pierce, watching as their conversation played out.

 

Rita scratched her head, "Major time paradox" She muttered. She looked over at the past Toby and Amy when she saw her, "Oh my lord.." She gasped gobsmacked by the sight of her past self, "What the hell am I wearing!?"

 

Eliza nodded, "Good idea, see you later" With that she turned and ran quickly down the street the way Gabriel had gone, disappearing into the shadows.

As Eliza disappeared down one way, the past Eliza turned onto the street, wearing a flowing pink dress, hair tied elegantly back and holding a small frilly umbrella behind her, in contrast to the Eliza just gone.

 

Gabriel glared at Drake as he whispered his name. Drake looked up and shut his eyes, a small ball of eerie light shining in his hand. Gabriel gritted his teeth, "Must not interfere, let him steal Sorcha's memories....never." His resolve set he summoned a knife in his hand and chucked it at Drake, hitting him in the shoulder.

Drake fell and Gabriel and Sorcha ran to him, covering his wound, "Who dares throw a knife....huh?" he recognized the knife, it was one of his...could it be? Sorcha glanced around before she snapped her fingers and the lights went out in the tavern. "Be still Drake, let me." A soft glow came from her fingers that were pressed to the wound. "My lady you do me a great honor."

 

Amatae took a glance to the past Rita, eyes showing a glimmer of laughter at her. "My my, even I wasn't that bad. What were you thinking?" She joked, showing a flash of the old, cocky Amatae. Behind her, she heard her own bell of a laugh followed by Pierce's angelic one. But even then, he'd been on the side of Darkness.

 

Eliza reached Gabriel just in time to see him throw the dagger, alarm showed in her eyes as she got Gabriel's attention, out of sight of the people from the past, What are you thinking?! She mouthed to him.

The past Eliza walked down the street, seemingly in a little world of her own.

 

The past Rita was wearing an Orangey-red shirt with matching shorts, an orange flower in her hair and was wearing glasses.
She appeared to walk over to the past Amy and Toby and briefly said hi, then walk over to a bench and sat on it it.

"Now that's weird...why would I ever wear shorts like that?"

 

Gabriel gave Eliza a glimpse into his burning soul and hardened himself for what was to come of his past.

Drake reached up and pulled Sorcha down to him, "Thank you, deary. Perhaps you'd grace me with a gift?" Before Sorcha could answer Drake kissed her. Gabriel fisted his hands and stood by, "Drake, you b*stard!"

"Gabriel closed his eyes, feeling his brother's beginning of his betrayal all over again.

 

The past Eliza carried on walking, appearing to be unaware of her surroundings and anyone else around them.

Eliza wached before turning slowly to Gabriel, "I'm sorry" She whispered.

 

Amatae gave a shrug. "I'm not sure, but with legs like that, why don't you wear them now? I certainly would." She muttered, watching the past Amatae talking with Pierce. If she could just hear the conversation... Getting an idea, she sent a small, nearly undetectable wind from them towards her, catching their conversation as it carried.

"My name is Pierce Bannidlues, my dear lady. And yours?"

 

Rita turned towards the past Amatae and Pierce, "This is all so confusing!" She walked closer to Amatae, "If you and Pierce knew each other before, was it just a coincidence that you ended up at the same school that he worked at?"

 

Gabriel hesitated on his way out, pulling Eliza with him, "Don't be. He gets what he deserves soon enough. There's much more value to this era to me than to much of the others. This is the era in which Drake is imprisoned below the depths of Hell itself. Captive in chains of torment and suffering. A fitting place for my brother."

Sorcha pulled away from Drake and slapped him hard, "Kiss me again and I'll make minced meat out of you." Drake grinned and stood, his wound gone cept for the hole in his clothes, "Dear brother, is that not your knife?" Gabriel glanced down at the blade in his hand before it faded away to dust, "It looked like it was, but...it's gone."

Gabriel's knife returned to him and he wiped the blood onto his sleeve, "There's nothing better than the satisfaction of stabbing Drake, even in the past. It had to happen, Eliza, you understand."

 

Amatae looked to Rita, giving a guilty shake of her head. "I'm not sure about you, but in this past life, I died towards the end. I'd been in a relationship with Pierce... He decided to go all fairytale on me." She gave a scoff. "Was it a coincidence? No. He followed my life path, enrolled as a teacher at the Angel school and um..." She twiddled her thumbs guiltily, pausing in her sentence as she thought of words to continue.

"Amatae... I've never heard that name before. Surely, you must be extremely unique." At that, the past Amatae let loose a giggle that was almost cringeworthy to the present Amatae.

 

Eliza nodded, "You know I'm starting to think more that out furture is a rusult of our interferance, not despite it though I still don't think it's a good idea to be discovered by out past selves or to meddle too much"

 

"So you died....and then you were reborn? kinda like Amy?" Rita asked, feeling very confused, the past Amatae's giggle sounded so sweet and sincere. "You used to giggle like that?!"

 

"If I remember it correctly. Unless Pierce fogged my memories when he found me again. And yes, I did used to giggle like that. Anywho, if you didn't guess already... When Pierce found me and I remembered this past we um... Kinda picked up where we left off." Amatae gave a small blush at both her giggle and her confession, watching as the past Pierce made Amatae giggle even more loudly. "Oh dear... I feel like stabbing her.."

"Oh, you're such a sweetie." The past Amatae giggled out, hand lightly pressed on Pierce's arm.

 

Gabriel shrugged her off and left his past self to live out the weeks with Sorcha that were to come. He thought, I need to distract Drake. I don't know where he was all that time while I was with Sorcha but he was no where to be seen.

 

"But...isn't he much older than you? Seems a bit creepy."

 

Eliza studied Gabriel's face, "What are you thinking? And don't deny it, I know that look"

 

"I'm going to follow Drake around for a while. Tie up loose ends in my past. If I know where that dark being has been while I was with Sorcha, I can begin to understand what he was thinking." He sighed and rubbed his face.
