If you could erase one event from human history, what would it be and how do you think the world would be different today if it happened?

 

Hmm... What are your thoughts on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?

Kay, well first of all, I feel the need to say that I would proceed with LOTS of caution, because I watch enough sci-fi to know that messing with time can be extremely disastrous. But, let me think... It can't be too big of an event, the repercussions would be incalculable... And it can't be in my own personal timeline, for paradox reasons. Hmm... OH I GOT IT!!! I would go to 1986 and convince Stephan J. Cannell to cancel the A-Team BEFORE the embarrassing fifth season. Either that, or change the dynamic of what the fifth season turned into. And how would that affect the world today? Well, for one thing, the plot of the 2010 A-Team movie would have gone a completely different direction, as the Origin Story the movie covers wasn't revealed until the admittedly best episodes of the admittedly worst season. Of course, there's a chance that the 2010 movie would never have been made at all, and that would stink because it wasn't until my parents saw the commercial for the movie that they reminisced about the A-Team and showed me the first few episodes. My obsession would never have happened, my respect for Dwight Schultz would have been limited to Barclay from Star Trek, and if I ever do fulfill my dream of becoming a screenplay writer, I would never make a new A-Team movie, which would be way closer to the original show. I swear, that movie was awesome and I spent the entire time in the theater having a blast, but really, their Hannibal and Face were way off, and the whole dynamic was ruined because of it. At least their Murdock and BA were good. So yeah, tl;dr, I would change the A-Team.

 

There's going to be some rambling in this one.

I've never watched an episode of the series. That being said, the culture behind the show is very interesting (and I'm regarding the male and female fanbase). On Netflix, I watched the Bronies documentary that was really well put together, but at the same time, it felt like a giant circle-jerk. One thing that was odd to me that one of the people they were following was this shut-in who would never go outside, but was able to leave his house, travel hundreds of miles to go to some MLP convention. While that's commendable in its own right, I can't help but feel that's a little pathetic. Plus, I have a guy like him at my campus's anime club, and know how loud and obsessive he can be.

The reason I bring all of this up is because something that's kept me from watching it is the fanbase. The documentary did go a bit into the show, and while the premise and details are very well thought out, the few but obsessive fans keep me away. It's in every fanbase as well; I mean, I love the movie Frozen (for personal reasons), but those loud obsessive voices are making me lose some of the love for it.

tl;dr have no intention of watching, but seems interesting.

Partially out of habit, partially because I either formed what could conceivably be considered a series of friendships and/or some of the people here caught my interest.

 

My medication. I'm so amazed that every day I have to take a certain amounts of certain pills to keep everything in check. I'm very grateful that they haven't given up on me.

Oh, sorry. I was wondering if I should have, but I thought the person who answered/did the last truth/dare would ask. I was a little unclear, but now I know.

Anyway, a much more active coding section. When I first started, the site was more involved with it and it was much more active. We saw cool things like that tournament thing we used to do with KH characters fighting others? I can't remember what it was called, but it was pretty cool. I think we need to find a way to get more people in that section (or I guess more coders on the site).
