Oh yes. Completely losing something I have been dedicating my time to after spending an extremely large amount of time on it, all whilst sick and holding a horrendously bad evening.

So essentially; my best friend is being forced to make an attempt on my life against their will, and I've got to choose what I do. That about right?
Well, let's see then... Depends on what kind of situation this is. Is she armed? Am I armed? Is there some other thing preventing me from just attacking them back? Is she actually attacking me herself, or is there something/someone actively controlling them?
Generally speaking, in a realistic setting where they're unarmed, as am I, and they're being threatened rather than controlled, I'd fight back, no matter who they are. I'm not about to let myself die on somebody elses say so.

Short version; I don't run, I fight.
