Kingdom Hearts II True or False: Naminé is a nobody. False?

I think it was stated somewhere that Namine was created from Sora's body and soul. Maybe an Ansem's Report. But it is a fascinating notion. It may be that the energy of Kairi's heart being released from Sora's body is what caused Namine to be created. Which would explain why exactly she's such a fragile being.


I always maintained that Nobodies have feelings... but don't have feelings at the same time. Confusing, I know. I'll try to explain.

Roxas said in one of the new cutscenes from FM, the heart isn't something you can see, or maybe even feel. There's just something about the way he said it that seemed to ring true. I think he got that right. People rely on the info given them from in-game characters, but you have to remember, that just like real people, their knowledge can be FALLIBLE. I imagine that Nobodies have the ability to react emotionally, even feel a kind of echo of that emotion. Every Nobody has shown some kind of emotion. (With maybe the exception of Lexaeus, but he didn't say much.) Vexen was just an irascible old dude in general. Larxene was a tempermental byotch. Axel was angry at Roxas for not being remembered. Zexion looked pretty desperate as he was begging for his life. And so on. It's just that they don't really feel connected to that emotion - it doesn't feel right.

 

Although nobodies technically don't have feelings, they can form feelings from memory.

Basically, the can still think, and if someone insults them, they know to be offended ect. This becomes a sub-conscious activity.

Although they 'can't feel,' they do have 'feelings,' just formed from memories. Therefore, memory becomes essential to nobodies.

Roxas is different though. You are right, it does seem like he can feel. This is because Sora, his other is still around. he still has a connection to Sora's heart, and therefore, it is like he has a heart. Xemnas suggests that if a nobody(Axel) gets close to one with a heart, they have a heart too. (this is in a new seen from FM+) This makes sense since he cries at the end of another new since. It all ties in with the theme: "If you make a good friend, then it is like your hearts become one." The nobody becomes part of the 'collective heart' and can therefore have a heart.
