Yep that's right. Naminé is indeed not a nobody, as stated in the secret Ansem reports.

Normally, a heart leaves the body and becomes a heartless; the body goes to the realm of in-between and becomes a nobody. Naminé was created when Kairi's heart left Sora's body, so Kairi's body never actually left to the realm of in-between. However, Naminé was still created as a sort of 'proof of losing her heart.' Naminé is not a nobody, because she lacks the very essence of what a nobody is: their other's soul and body. Notice how she is very plain? She is, in essence, part of Kairi, but she isn't a nobody. Since she lacks Kairi's body, she also lacks her memories. Also, she is a very unstable 'being.'

I found this kinda weird and would like to discuss it.

interesting concept but Ansem never directly stated she wasn;t a Nobody. It's interesting to say the least but I have always assumed her to Kairi's Nobody as she rejoined with Kairi in the end anyway. If she wasn't a Nobody she couldn't do that I don't think.

Namine is a Nobody, she's just very different than the rest of Organization XIII.

Umm, Actualy, yes he did directly say she wasn't a nobody

    From Ansem report 9

With no darkness in her heart, Kairi produced no Heartless, and instead of vanishing, her body remained in the realm of light.
In other words, both the Nobody called Naminé and the Heartless—proof of a lost heart—are extremely unstable beings who lack the bodies needed to produce a Nobody. Therefore, they also lack Kairi's memories. One reason for this may be that Kairi's heart did not return to the darkness when separated from her body, but rather migrated to another vessel…deep within Sora's heart.
That is, Naminé is an alter ego of the Kairi who has directly interfered with Sora's heart. Could this be why Sora and those whose hearts are connected to him were able to have their memories controlled?
She is a “non-being†in the truest sense of the word; having not even become a Nobody and with nowhere left to go, she is but the most fleeting of shadows.

He goes on to say more about it later.

Naminé is still a part of Kairi and was therefore able to rejoin with her.

Your own statement contradicts itself. What is a non-being, if not a Nobody?

Namine is a Nobody. She is just a different breed than the rest, because she has no darkness in her being and has the ability to actually feel emotions.

Namine is a lot like Roxas: They both are made up of some physical component of Sora/Kairi. Whether it is the whole body or a part of the body or soul (ex. memories), they are both nobodies. Kairi and Sora both had a piece of them missing from themselves, making them both incomplete, which was how Namine and Roxas were able to exist.

Mhmm, I still think she is a nobody. Just more along the lines of Roxas and has feelings of her own.

In the end Naminé is a nobody but a special nobody.

RikuNotRikku, very interesting. If she's just a shadow, that opens up the possibilities for other characters to be shadows too, such as the E.S. from the FM2 battle. Also, is her ability to control memories related in any way?

If I follow your logic, then Roxas isn't a Nobody either, since Sora regained his body. The Secret Reports say that if a Heartless escapes the darkness, the heart that has been freed returns to its homeworld and waits for its body and mind to return. But when Sora's heart was freed, he immediately regained his body and mind, even though Roxas still "existed" on his own.

You're right to point this out, it is an intriguing fact, but it remains a mystery. Naminé's best considered a special Nobody, since she has many of their characteristics.

  11. Maybe Naminé was a shadow/non-existent being that didn't have any physical component, (body), a shadow merely travelling, because Kairi's body didn't turn into a heartless, and instead, went to the realm of light.

Now, when Kairi's heart left Sora, is when it used Sora's body and soul (since he turned into a heartless) to not only create Roxas, but what Naminé is now, and her powers. Sora had two hearts in him that left. His, that made Roxas, and Kairi's, that gave Naminé a body.

Maybe that's what it meant of Naminé having a "special birth".

Don't take that seriously though. Is only a guess.

Exactly, It waits, or they're not aware. Unless the Nobody is "defeated", let's put it that way, they can't be whole. They're human again, but they're not complete. That's how Sora had his body while Roxas was walking in TT and the Org. Even though he had it, a part of himself was missing.

So you're saying that Sora lacked a body and a mind, but could still move, act physically and think (I know he's not very smart, but that's pretty extreme) ? How could his heart, which is only supposed to harness emotions, allow him intellectual and physical action ? Nobodies lack a heart, so they can't feel anything : they partially replace emotions with memories of emotions or a personality their mind creates. Someone lacking a mind and a body couldn't move around and think.

It doesn't contradict itself. she is less of a being thatn a nobody.

A non being doesn't have to be a nobody. What he means is that she is less than a nobody. Although nobodies 'do not exist,' she exists even less, since she's not even Kairi's body and soul.

It can be said that she is Kairi's nobody, since she was created when Kairi's heart left Sora's body.

Thanks everyone! finaly, people who agree with me.

It could all mean a number of things.

It could be that after Sora was changed back, a new body was created for sora, while his old body became Roxas. but, as Kanji was saying, Roxas can be considered 'not a nobody, though since he was created when his own heart left his body, he is more of a nobody than Naminé.

Roxas Doesn't have any of Soras memories, indicating that it is not Sora's body that became Roxas.

There is one line that I would like to point out from Secret Ansem Report 10:
"Sora and Xehanort retained their selfhood even after becoming Heartless."

This could mean one of two things.

the first is that, Xehanort actualy turned back into a person, without knowing it, after he became a heartless.

The second is that Sora, from the time after roxas was born to the time he merged back with Roxas, was a form of heartless. For whatever reason Xehanort's heartless had human form, Sora did too.

The idea that Sora was still a Heartless until he merged back with Roxas is impossible : a Heartless is a heart filled with so much negative feelings it loses itself in the darkness. And I don't think Sora qualifies as a heart filled with negative emotions : he can't have been a Heartless, his heart contained little to no darkness.

However, it is possible his heart created a new body and a new mind for him, while the originals remained as Roxas. In the same way, Xehanort may have kept his human form and intellect because he became a Heartless willingly. He was not overwhelmed and dominated by the darkness, he used them. Xehanort was so special and maybe so powerful he created an unusual Nobody AND an unusual Heartless.

I'm sorry if I came off as rude, it just seemed contradictory to me.

*shrugs* I've read the Secret Ansem Reports as well, and nothing I've seen tells me that Namine is not a Nobody.

She may be a different breed of Nobody, but she's still of the same species as Xemnas and the others.
