Help Trouble uploading an avatar.

So I've got an avatar I'm trying upload. It's an animated gif with a file size of 104KB. When I select it as the file to upload it does the little loading thing for a moment and then stops with no results. My current avatar is 109KB. Not sure why it would stop the upload unless it's my current internet connection.

Both images are the recommended 200x200 resolution.

It's the avatar. I was also unable to upload it, but was able to upload other things fine.

 

Thanks, Amaury. Not sure why it's not loading right. The file size is smaller and both avatars are the same dimensions. I'll have to tinker with it a little bit, I suppose.

Our server is really picky about the gifs it accepts as avatars. There's not much to be done about it nor can I figure out why it accepts some gifs and not others.

 

Did you want the "Initializing 20% cooler" bit on the GIF. I don't know if it's just my computer but the GIF only plays the once and then remains a still image.

 

As a wrench in that issue, the site isn't consistent about it. When changing back to my skull GIF it didn't work at first. I settled for an upscaled version but then got the original up a couple of days later.

 

Yeah, I had it set to load loop three times but to save on file size I set it to loop once. Repeating a gif with a "loading screen" wouldn't make much sense anyway.

Thanks ^^ I'll just keep trying and see what happens. If anything my need for change will cause me to move on to something else. I just can't keep the same graphics for too long >.<

Just bumping this to say I believe our gif issues are fixed! Had some updates done on our server that should sort them out. I just tested several different gifs, of different sizes and from different sources, and each one worked perfectly. Have fun~
