Transformers 2, anyone?

The ending of this one is just like they changed the scenery from the first movie's and switched the song and dialogue >.>

But I don't care. Optimus didn't get his ass whooped all over the place this time. He held his own against Megatron, Starscream, and Grindor at the same time, where in the first, he was thrown around by just Meg.

 

"It's supposed to hurt, it's an ass woopin'."

Wheelie wasn't bad either, but I lol'd at the fact that he has the same VA as Spongebob.


Honestly I thought Bumblebee got enough screentime, he blew up plenty of things. I would've liked to seen more of Arcee and even Jolt, aka the blue car that was with the Autobot team. :v

And I'm happy they didn't make Simmons a complete tool in this one. He had his moments, but he was bearable this time. But just barely.

 

This. They finally have a female Transformer, and she's in like...3 scenes, with less than 3 lines >.>

Strangely, I heard that Anthony Anderson (the annoying geek from the first movie) was the voice of Jolt. But now I see that he in fact didn't get any lines. :| But then again, he was there just for product placement for GM's new eco-friendly car, I guess.

 

Well...yeah, I mean she was in the beginning and the gigantic shootout, but then

two of the three motorcycles were shot and presumably killed.

Ratchet was just like "JOLT! DO THIS!" and that's...pretty much it, I didn't even see him fire. ._.

the Prime-Jetfire combo was amazing. He kicked major ass, even The Fallen didn't really stand a chance. Too bad he shed the extra parts after the fight. D:

And I liked the way they had a similar ending, it sets it up for another sequel. Which has been in discussion and probably will happen. :'D

 

I was pissed how there were twice as many Decepticons than Autobots yet nearly all the Autobots managed to live and all the Decepticons were ****ing owned. Can't we kill a few Autobots?

 

The story was secondary. You can tell the writers took advantage of their fancy 3D rendering and action skills. They did very well, too.

The thing that shot me for the movie was the ridiculous marketing schemes embedded in it. I saw at least 8 difference sequences of corporations, tons of car showings and lots of Megan Fox attention. In fact, the commercial before the movie started was Chevy's newly released model of Bumble Bee's vehicle.

Overall, however, I liked the movie. I got a few good laughs, and the soundtrack was pretty good. The action was sdogfihrg4yu0dufvdof amazing. I was pretty happy to hear The Fray and Nickelback, too. <: But...

Optimus dying SUCKED--though thankfully he came back. Megatron and Optimus didn't play that large of a roll which saddened me. But at least there was a lot more transformers.

My theater was totally packed, too. There was so many people the theater filled two full rooms for Cinemax. Not surprising. lol

Optimus melted The Fallen's ****ing face/mask off. It wasn't a contest at that point. lol

Well Megatron and Starscream live (like always), so it's open-ended at least. :D

 

3 of them, actually, though one is probably dead.

This is because Jolt was a last minute addition and they already had the final script ready. He was really only there because GM wanted to advertise the Volt. I'm hoping the next movie puts some spotlight on Jolt and Sideswipe (who had a grand total of 3 lines).

And to the people that felt that Optimus was uncaring when Jazz died,

he didn't even mention Jetfire's death after the battle.

Jetfire willingly killed himself by pulling his own spark out so that Optimus get hurry to the pyramid. Jazz's wasn't intentional.

 

all i'm going to say, is that I wanted to watch two hours of pure action and immerse myself in something that a story didn't matter.

I was not disappointed.

 

Pretty much sums up my feelings too.

 

I will say this: More people cheered for the Avatar: The Last Airbender teaser than New Moon.

 

I MISSED GOOD PREVIEWS!?

Damn, all the previews we got were previews I'd already seen before the X-men movie.

 

Omg, I saw the Avatar trailer and almost died, I was so excited 8D

I don't remember the New Moon trailer (like I would care even if I did), but I did get a new 9 trailer.

 

Funny as Hell. Those two robots with the Weird faces made me laugh and when they called that guy a "Women P****" that made me laugh xD.

I think they where trying to keep as many alive since some fans where pissed about Jazz and so they don't have to bring too many new ones in if they make a third film (which apparently they are planning).

Well...they probably wouldn't have been as ragey if Jazz had more than like two lines. xD
And yeah, they're using pretty much the most popular or well known characters now, so I guess we'll see who's in the next movie and who's a character that can be possibly killed off.
The supposed release of the third one is 2012 at the earliest, I believe.

And I can't wait to hear all the complaining about Skids and Mudflap.

 

I read somewhere that Michael Bay doesn't want to make any more Transformer movies. I'm not sure if this is due to a dispute between him and the studio, or the sheer hatred the critics have for him, but i'm not sure there will be a third movie.
