"On July 24, 2008 Disney surprised San Diego Comic Con attendees with test footage from a sequel to Tron. The footage began with an update of the lightcycle duel from the original film, pitting a blue program against a yellow one with the two racing (where the rider is now exposed) through a futuristic landscape. The duel is being observed from a high, cliff-side structure by a human figure – an older, bearded Kevin Flynn played again by Jeff Bridges. One of the duel's participants is shown to have the face of the younger Jeff Bridges. The footage ended with a '2' appearing in the traditional Tron font and the title, TR2N, emerging around it, then fading away to leave the number. As of August 9, 2008, the Internet Movie Database entry for the film is titled TR2N with a projected release date of 2011."

    This is great news!
I havent seen the first, so the worry of a failure doesnt...worry me
I'll have to see the first, it sounds great, even though its from a while back, I think

A new Tron movie would be great, because they'd be bringing back a bit of Dinsey's past and something that a lot of people have probably forgotten. I hadnt heard about Tron before KH2 and most people I know wouldnt have either.

With animations as good as they are, the knowledge that theyre working with something already successful, and the success of Wall-E, I have some hop for Tr2n. The name looks good, at least.

I heard about this, and if this is as good as people were saying following comic con, then i'm excited to see this.

To those that haven't seen Tron, I highly recommend you do.

I'm one of those people. XP When I first encountered Space Paranoids in KH2, I was confused as heck. But then I looked up Tron and learned more about the film.

    This worries me.
I thought the first Tron movie was fine. Not great or awesome, just fine.
However, the second one could possibly just ruin Tron. :(
Ah well, I'll just hope for the best. :)

I read what Wikipedia has to say on Tr2n, and it looks like one or more writers of Lost will be writing it.
    (!!!!!!!!)
This worries me, considering how terrible a show Lost can be. But that's just my opinion on Lost.
Still, the worries getting stronger. It sounds like a lot of time will be spent on Tr2n, however, so there'll be lots of effort put into it.
Nice title for the movie too...

I had never heard of Tron until I played KH. I watched the movie and a sequel would be a good idea.
