5. Jak and Daxter:

Apart from the first game in the series, this is probably one of the best action series out there. The gun fights, the puzzles, and even smaller missions all sucked me in and kept me playing. The third game was beyond amazing, and although I can't speak for the final boss, very challenging at times.

4. Kingdom Hearts:

I'm going to be honest here; I like Kingdom Hearts, but the second game really brings the series down. It's a bunch of linked cutscenes that have nothing to do with the game. The action made up for it though, and the RPG elements were an added boost to the great gameplay.

3. Devil May Cry:

These games never fail to amaze me with their brilliant action, wondrous swordplay, and epic bosses. It took me about 15 tries to beat level 2 in DMC 3 on Normal Mode! Apart from the second one in the series, DMC stands out in my mind as the greatest action-RPG of our time.

2. Final Fantasy:

What do I have to say? Each new installment of this epic series manages to keep me occupied for another 100 hours until I've finished all the sidequests. The characters are lovable and the plots are fantastic. I really love everything in these games, and I'm sad I won't have a PS3 for the FFXIII launch.

1. Spyro the Dragon:

Yep, my favorite series of games is Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon, all 3 of which were for the amazing PS1. Honestly, I can't imagine a more fun game than these. I was also little when I played them, and they blew my away. It seemed as though each sequel got better and better. The graphics were tuned, the musical score (all of which was done by a member from The Police) was brilliant, and the gameplay was beyond fantastic. To this day, I still think Spyro 3 is the greatest platforming game of all time.
