Toonami vs. Adult Swim

Which was the better program block?

Toonami lost all of its awesome when it starting showing crappy anime and wannabe anime like Narufag and Ben 10 and Transformers Animated, but it was kickass in the 90's.

 

Last time I saw either was a fair few years ago, and I was rather young. AS was on too late, and Toonami had Zoids, which I liked.

 

I'll pick Toonami since I know that program... By the way, Adult Swim sounds like some porn program <<

 

Adult Swim, no doubt about it. Toonami needs better shows to make it cool again, but until it does, [as] is it.

 

Toonami was good and all, but Adult Swim is better.

 

Adult Swim, hands down. Toonami was sexy a few years back, but now Adult Swim's got better and funnier shows that I'm actually able to sit through and watch. It's probably the only decency left in cartoons.

 

Adult Swim definitely. Toonami was cool in the 90s but the Naruto and some of the other stuff they've added just don't interest me. Also Adult Swim shows like Metapocalypse, Frisky Dingo, Robot Chicken and some others are actually pretty funny and yet kind of demented, which keeps me entertained. Some shows on Adult Swim are kind of sucky, but at least some I can get a great laugh from.

 

I like Adult Swim better. I must say though, Toonami was great when I was a kid. Because of Toonami, I found Rurouni Kenshin, and it's my favorite show to this day. They also had a bunch of other cool shows I would not have found had I not have watched it, so I definitely liked it back then. When I was really into Adult Swim, I watched Inuyasha, FLCL, Wolf's Rain, Detective Conan, Trigun, Fullmetal Alchemist, and other shows pretty often. These days, I don't watch as much tv as I did when I was younger, but I'll still watch Adult Swim from time to time. Some of their shows are still good, but as for Toonami...it's lost it's edge, in a big way.

 

I'd go with Toonami, if it was back in the old days, when it had good things in it. Now Cartoon Network failed when they started removing anime and other good shows it had.

I'll go with adult swim, merely for the fact that they serve good anime. There's robot chicken too, which is awesome. There are some shows that I don't get at all, but the anime makes up for that.

 

Btw, wasn't Toonami cancelled or something? >.>; If not, my mistake.

Anyway, this is actually a hard one for me to choose. Toonami was awesome back then but like what everyone else is saying, it was degrading. However, I could say almost the same with Adult Swim. Some of the comedy shows were okay but I was young, thus usually most of the jokes and innuendos would just fly over my head, so of course I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I should. I mainly watched the Anime Block though, which was on extremely late in the night. And I didn't like that.

Now in the present, I don't watch as much TV as before so I dont' catch up with what Adult Swim has to fully offer each night. And since I watched Toonami far more times than Adult Swim, I would vote for Toonami. But then again, this is from what I remember in the past, before Toonami bombed. Overall, I can't really say. :|

I recall liking Adult Swim better. Toonami didn't have too many shows I cared for, and Adult Swim had FLCL!

Toonami died years ago ..*sigh* Zoids, Tenchi Muyo, Kenshin ..Gundam ..best times of my life..but now its dead and Toonami was cenceled.

Adult Swim wins now, but years back with the original Toonami, it would give AS a run for its money.

 

I used to watch both a while back, but now I just love Adult Swim for Bleach.

 

I would say Adult Swim if it wasn't for those stupid shows. I mean some of them are actually funny (Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen) but the majority of them makes me want to kill someone.

Really liked Toonami in the 90's such as DBZ for example, but now the programs just suck. So Adult Swim is my new tv watching time for the moment. I love the shows Robot Chicken, Aqa Teen Hunger Force and I even get to watch Family Guy sometimes not to mention other animes. Oh yeah!
