Kingdom Hearts II Too much Anti!

You know, I heard this somewhere else before too. I guess I'm going to have to try it some time when I get back into the Kingdom Hearts II playing mood. (I'm currently in the Re:Coded mood.)

 

Likewise, to easily level up, you can abuse a few mechanics. If you enter a cup while in a form, then your drive gauge restores to full. If you return to the world map while in a form, again, full gauge. I think going between the two Twilight Towns also does it, but don't quote me on that.

Anyway, those tricks make it really easy to level up the forms.

 

You need to switch worlds. The two Twilight Towns are both considered to be Twilight Town, so that doesn't work. But going through Betwixt and Between and TWTNW does it. So will Space Paranoids and Hundred Acre Wood from Hollow Bastion, but both of those are at save points anyway so it doesn't help at all.

 

Ah, thanks. I knew that it was something to do with Twilight Town, as I recall levelling up Final Form near the lab. I guess that's probably what I was doing. (Unless there's also a save point nearby, in which case I would have just used that.)

 

Well, there happens to be a few other theory's despite the ones mentioned.
One is that Drives forms amplify certain qualities. (Which we know to be true:
Valor = Strength
Wisdom = Magic
Final = Keyblade
etc)
Now... we know that darkness is a powerful thing, and we do happen to know that even Sora's heart contains darkness.
It's possible that the trade off for amplifying certain powers gives rise to the possibility of the Darkness being amplified.
Of course, this is also hinted at when you looked into each of the mirrors in Yen-Sid's tower. Each mirror said something about the possible forms you could use.
The mirror that hinted at the anti form said something like: 'You see yourself overwhelmed by darkness'
Now I don't know if this is the actual answer... but I thought it another option and so I'd throw it into the mix anyway.

 

I see this as the most logical and sensible explanation for many questions about drive forms, although i have one problem with it. Final Form probably amplifies Light and/or all the other traits from all the other drive forms (minus darkness...). How could it amplify the Keyblade if you can dual wield in every form (minus wisdom and anti)

 

it would make more sence light because master form amplifies the power of wisdom and valor for at the same time...

 

my number was only 5 it took me ages just to get the gauge up so i just got sick of using drives and dident use them that often

 

I think Anti-Form is pretty fun to use but ugh! I can't level up my drive forms because of this stupid thing!

 

All but about 2-3 times I went anti my first play-through were from fighting Xigbar. O_o I can never go anti that often in any other play-through except at that point. I even spam my drives to get it. (Doesn't really work...)T_T I love anti. <3 Except when I accidentally get it at a low health and can't heal. o_o" (Again, mostly happens w/ Xiggy.) How sad is that, lol? Both my "Saved by Mickey's" were from that problem. Most used form:Valor (Every time) Why? Because Master is Pre-Final, imo. xD

 

I already played Kingdom Hearts II a lot of times and I can only remember when I played on Proud Mode, so the results I got were...

Anti Form: 0
Form Most used: Final Form 68 times

And the other one was...
Anti Form: 17 times (Yeah, seventeen times 8D)
Form Most used: Final Form 57 times

The most recent...
Anti Form: 4 times
Form Most used: Final Form 64 times

 

First time I played through I might have gotten it twice... I never used the drives, summons, limits(unless they were equipped to pop up automatically) because I usually forgot they existed... On my subsequent playthroughs I've gotten Anti allot, sadly it's always at the end of a boss fight where I need to heal... When I'm not trying to finish someone off it's an awesome form, I'm saddened by the fact Sora can't appear in that form during cutscenes. Obviously it's because it would probably scare the other characters, but it be wicked..

 

I went into Anti over 20 times.

And that was before I hit 99 and got Final Form.

 

I went into Anti like 8 times,

I really just did button mash,so yeah thats pretty much why.
