Too Little...Too Late

Nova exits his room and heads down the hallway.

 

"Its ok," he replied."He brought us food." Jake went to the door and brought back a dirty tray, on it was a stale loaf of bread and a small cup of dirty water. "Here." He gave it to her.

 

You want to know a trick my friend taught me last year she asked.

 

He was bewildered by the sudden change of subject. "Sure...," he said slowly.

 

You know Mr. Xando eat all the fresh food right Precious said.

 

"Yeah." he said.

 

Well...she opened up a compartment in the wall where all the food where.
I managed to sneak some out from the kitchen she said grabbing ships.

 

"Wow...." He was amazed, all he had ever eaten was that junk that he gave you, if you were lucky enough to get it.

Geryl then tried to stop the walls from closing in.

 

*Anna wakes up and looks around*

 

He took a chocolate bar and cautiously bit into it. "Wow this is good!!'

 

She smiled.

He was actually enjoying himself when he thought of something. He put down the chocolate and grew cold. "I'm gonna go to bed." He got onto the bed and faced the wall.

 

Geryl then tried to break teh door down.

 

Precious looked at him.
did I do something worng she asked.

"No," he said dully. He went to sleep, but had a nightmare.

They ran quickly, feet hitting the floor and making a metallic ring. The older boy was holding a terrified little boy's hand. "Don't worry, I won't let him kill you." "I'm scared," admitted the little boy as they ran down the hall. Suddenly out of nowhere an arrow flew out of a trap. It was headed straight for the little one. "JAKE!!" yelled the older boy. And without hesitation, he threw Jake down and jumped into its path. There was a thud and the older boy was pinned to the wall, an arrow in his heart. His eyes were gray, emotionless. "Dmitriy?" Jake asked tentively(sp?) Dmitriy hung lifeless. Suddenly his gray eyes fixed on Jake. "You made me die Its all your fault," he said in a monotone voice, putting emphasis on the last four words. "No...NOOOOOO!!!".

He was yelling in his sleep. "Dmitriy don't go, its my fault, its my fault!!!!"

 

Precious shook Jake.
Jake..wake up...Jake wake up she said.

 

He jolted awake, in a cold sweat. His eyes looked wildly over the cell.
