BIC: Dev nodded. "We have some..violent history." she said, checking out the fridge.

 

"Bad history?" Corey stepped in the room, closing the door behind him. "What do you mean? If you don't mind me asking..." He plopped himself heavily on one of the beds. "I am a curious American you know."

 

Dev laughed. "His dad and my mum got in fights about magical stuff. So his dad decided to take it out on me and my sister. My mom didn't care for that, and so.....we kinda grew up hating each other. My mum took away his father, and his mother took away my mum."

 

Corey shook his head. "Magic this, magic that." He took off his cap and put it on his knee. "Sooo... the children are basically caught up in the situation then, eh?"

 

Dev laughed, flopping onto the bed. "I suppose so. Mind you, he's not as scary as his father."

 

Corey nodded his head a little... Then he slowly looked at Dev. "Do you... have a secret crush on him?" Just another one of those nosey questions.

 

Dev shook her head. "I guess you could say we are brought together by misery and shame. That isn't a good way to have a "crush" on someone." Dev smiled, looking over at Corey. "You Americans. You certainly have a way with personal questions."

 

Corey chuckled nervously. "Heh, sorry... It's my nature... Most American's aren't like that." He picked up his baseball cap from his lap, examining it. He could see it was dirty on one side, so he brushed the dust off of it.

 

Dev smiled. "You're okay, anyways. Most Americans can be prejudiced." She sat up, going to the closet.

 

"Ah, I'll take that as a compliment." He pulled the hat down on his head, watching Dev from the corner of his eye. He suddenly closed his eyes, sighed out, and then flopped backwards on the bed, laying down on it now.

 

Dev smiled. "As well you should." she dug in the back of the closet, looking for something. "Here we are..." she murmured, pulling out a box.

 

Corey turned his head, looking at Dev's direction. He saw her pulling out the box. "Soooo... what's that exactly?"

 

"Weapons." Dev opened the box. "you'll need some too, so get over here."

 

Corey stood up once more and walked over to Dev. "What kind of weapons are we talking about?" He asked while crouching down by her to look at the box.

 

"Something to fight the magical abilities of our new aquantances." Dev pulled out a necklace, and a ring. "Which one would you like?"

 

Corey wrinkled his nose while looking at them. He didn't know which was was girlier, the necklace or the ring. He sighed out quietly. "I'll take the necklace..." At least I can hide it under my shirt, he thought.

 

Dev grinned, handing it to him. "I don't care, either way." she slipped the ring onto her finger. "And now, he will be coming back. If he does, head out the window, and take my bike."

 

"Eh? What about you?! What are you going to do?" There was no way Corey was going to leave Dev alone with that guy. He gives me the creeps just thinking about him...

 

"Do what I was taught to do. Fight." Dev smiled grimly. "I know enough to take him with me, if I die."

 

"Whoa, whoa, whoa... Hold on a sec. You're going to basically end this with you deing?!" He stood up straight, a firey look in his eye. "That's insane! You gotta believe that you'll get out of it alive, other whys you won't accomplish anything!"
