Tomb raider: The Next Gen

Dev kneeled next to him, watching.

Josh went up to Misaki, picking her up. "You shouldn't have done that." he scolded gently.

 

Corey held his breath, not sure what to think.

Misaki took in a shakey breath. "Why....?" It was not a question to echo what Josh said... It was a question of his actions.

 

Dev watched, thinking quickly.

Josh sighed, carrying her and setting her against the wall gently. "I didn't say you'd like who I really am." He stood up,looking for the other two.

 

Corey kept his hand close to his revolor, getting ready for something. He hated using his gun... but it seemed like the only think of at the moment.

Misaki's head shook as she looked up at Josh. He was still going to kill them. She set her hands down at her side. "Josh..."

 

"I'm not going to kill them." Josh said, touching her head gently. "I'm going to talk."

Dev tensed. "Don't run, or shoot." she murmured.

 

Misaki's chin fell on her chest. She took in another shakey breath. She felt so weak from using all that energy... and the pain in her shoulder wasn't helping either. "Don't hurt them..." she whispered.

Corey slowly lowered his hand from his gun. He gave Dev a quizical look that read, "Why?"

 

Josh walked up to Dev quickly, looking back once at Misaki. "Let's talk." he said.

Dev looked over at him. "Because it will make him angry." she murmured. "About what?" she asked Josh.

 

Corey slowly stood up, looking at Josh, then back at Dev. He didn't like this... The girl that was sitting against the wall didn't look too great either...

Misaki couldn't even lift her arms now to hold her shoulder. She breathed unevenly, trying to soften the pain as she stared at the floor with half open eyes.

 

Dev crossed her arms. "I did some bad things, but you did too. So are we even?"

Josh looked back at Misaki. "Help her, and we will be." he replied.

 

Corey kept his mouth shut, not daring to say anything... Since this was between Josh and Dev anyways. He kept all of his smart comments to himself for the time being.

Misaki heard those words from Josh... A weak smile slowly spread across her face. Then in an instant, it vanished and was replaced by pain. She held back her cries. Calm down... it's not that big... not that big... I just used too much energy.

 

Dev glanced at the girl. "Misaki...." Dev nodded, warily loooking at Josh. "I'll help her."

 

Corey looked at Dev in surprised. "How did you...?" He trailed off slowly. Wait, do these two know each other?!

OOC: Same here. Must...overcome...

BIC: Dev walked over to Misaki and gently looked at the shoulder wound. "You tried the old remedy?" she was impressed. "Give me your bracelet. Now." As soon as she got it, she pressed it against the wound, and whispered a word.

 

Misaki winced slightly, and waited. She kept her gaze down towards the floor, shaking slightly from the exhaustion she felt from after holding back Josh.

Corey watched in shock... He never seen stuff like this before. Okay, maybe once, but that was a while ago!

 

Green light flowed into Misaki's arm. "There." Dev was slightly pale. "Debt paid. And I am sorry." she added, backing away. "I was just trying to keep my sister safe." she said more quietly, going to stand next to Corey.

Josh went up to Misaki and gently picked her up. "I know. It was a mistake."

 

Corey glanced back and forth at the two of them. He was missing something here... He shrugged his shoulders a little and look interest in a painting on the hotel wall.

Misaki relaxed in Josh's arms, aware that there was peace in the room. She smiled a little as she closed her eyes. "Thank you..." she said almost silently.

OOC: Hm... I've been thinking... shouldn't peoples notice something? LIke.... pedistrians or passersby? D8

 

OOC: It be the middle of the night. I think the concierge was blown up though D8. my bad.

BIC: Dev nodded, then put the keys to the rooms in Corey's hand, standing in front of him. "We'll be going now."

Josh nodded. This wasn't over, not yet.

 

Corey looked at the keys, lost to know what to do with them. "Er... right then..." He started walking away, taking one last glance at the two people and then completly walked off.

Misaki's breath was even know. She was still concious, but had her eyes closed.

 

Dev followed Corey, her shoulders hunched. She was almost afraid if she looked back, she would be killed.

Josh carried Misaki up to the room, setting her gently on the bed. He would have to get answers out of the girl later.

 

Corey found their rooms and inserted the key in the lock. "Well... that was kind of interesting..." He swung the door open and stepped inside of the room.
