Tomb raider: The Next Gen

Josh jumped toward the girl, shoving the guy beside her out of the way. He slashed at the girl.


Dev yelped as the sword cut her arm, and rolled away.

 

OOC: I was waiting for Ghost... but oh well... D8

BIC:

Corey pushed off from the wall he was thrown against and charged at the boy, pulling out his dagger. He knew how to get around big weapons like a sword. He lunged at the guy, trying to get him away from Dev. "Okay! New plan! Dev, get out of here, NOW!"

 

Dev shook her head. "I'm not gonna just leave you!" She pulled out a small dagger from her boot and stabbed at the guy, ducking again. "How about you go!?"

Josh growled. "Why do human guys always have to be noble?" he stabbed at the other guy, ducking Dev's dagger stabbing.

OOC: Misaki can wake up whenever you want.

 

OOC: Alright... I'll wait till like a good moment to get Misaki in.

BIC:

Corey barely blocked it, seeing sparks coming off his blade. He pushed off from Josh's weapon and stepping back for a moment. He went in again for a go at Josh's stomach, ignoring the both of them.

 

Josh quickly whirled, kicking Dev, then blocking the guy's blades again, pushing with all his strength.

Dev yelped as her back slammed into the front counter, and she slid down, seeing stars.

 

Corey's own blade was locked with Josh's. "Who- gah. The heck are you?!" Corey was looking straight at Josh's eyes with a spark of furry and confusion.

 

"I'm a nightmare." Josh answered, breaking the lock, and stabbing at the guy's chest.

 

Corey was a little sluggish with this one. In slow motion, he could see the glint of the sword heading straight towards his stomach. He didn't even have time to blink.

Two strands of light from an unseen being lashed out at Josh, taking ahold of both of his arms, holding him back.

Corey blinked, realizing he didn't get stabbed. He looked toward where the ribbon of light lead to and gaped.

Misaki was standing there at the bottom of the stairs, her face straight with a look of determination in her eyes. Her arms shook slightly as she retrained Josh from moving, her feet looked into position so she could hold still. A small bit of blood leaked from under her shirt to the surface. She reopened the bullet wound. She was in a lot of pain, but refused to show it.

OOC: D8... I could just see all of that in my head... DDD8 Unless I did something wrong... I'll retype it. :sweat:

 

OOC: That. IS. SO. FREAKIN. EPIC!!!!!!!! :glomp:

BIC: Josh sighed. "Let me go." he said quietly. "You're going to hurt yourself."

Dev slowly got up, still leaning heavily on the wall. "Corey? You okay?" she asked, watching the strange girl.

 

Misaki kept Josh in the hold, struggling to not break the light ribbons. "You're no better then the ones who killed our council," she said in a dark tone. More blood seeped out, and she winced slightly. She wasn't going to let go though, not yet.

Corey went over to Dev's side. "Yeah... I'm fine. Are you okay?

 

Dev nodded, rubbing her head. "A bit tipsy, but I'll be fine."

Josh watched her, his eyes expressionless. "Don't make me fight you too. You need rest." He ignored her words.

 

Corey nodded his head and looked back at the other two. What is going on...?

"I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU ANYMORE!" Her voice was half choked with a sob. "What's happened to you...? This isn't the Josh I use to know... Take off your mask..." A small tear escaped from her eyes and trailed down her cheek. "You use to never think of acts of murder, nor have you ever considered it in your life!" She tightened the ribbons around Josh's arms, clenthing her own hands.

 

Dev watched. "My mum made enemies with these people..." she murmured.

Josh's hands tightened, and white mist slowly crept around Misaki. "Let go." he said. "You're going to kill yourself, Misaki."

 

Corey sucked in his breath, wondering what to do. "But... why's that one trying to protect us."

"No... go ahead and kill me! I don't care..." Her last words were almost a whisper. She still had Josh in the light ribbons.

 

Dev shook her head. "Looks like its an issue between them."

Fog crept up Misaki, slowly overtaking the light ribbons. "Let go." he said, as the fog slowly encased the light ribbons.

 

Misaki's arms shook as she struggled to keep hold on them. The pain in her shoulder was getting more intense. "Just... as long as you promise me... you won't hurt them or kill them... I'll keep hold on these ribbons... Or until I die..." She locked eyes with Josh, not daring to look away.

Corey watched in silence... What in the world was going on...?

 

Josh looked back. "I will not harm them." he promised, the fog keeping itself wrapped around Misaki.

Dev took Corey's arm. "Maybe we should hide...." she whispered.

 

Corey nodded his head, taking Dev's arm. "Come on..." he whispered. He started moving quietly, waiting for Dev to follow.

"You won't kill them either..." Misaki still kept her ground.

 

Josh shook his head. "I won't." The fog started to freeze the ribbons, turning them to ice. "Let go..."

Dev followed, keeping quiet. She didn't want to catch the guy's attention in the least.

 

Misaki's arms shook a little more, holding her gaze with Josh. The ribbons suddenly dropped from Josh, releasing him. She collasped on the ground in a kneeling position, breathing heavily. She coughed and gasped for breath, holding her shoulder. That took a lot more energy out of her then she thought.

Corey found a hiding spot and crouched down. If there was a sticky situation, he could get out easily
