Tomb raider: The Next Gen

BIC:

The black, bearded man came back out with a long skinny, metal tube. He laid it out for Corey to see.

Corey's eyebrows perked up in interest as he looked at the tube. "So... this is the map then?"

"Aye..." The man rubbed his nose. "You wouldn't happen to be one of them... Tomb Raiders, would ye?"

Corey laughed nervously. "Well no, I mean... I'm interested in treasure-" he cleared his throat. "Okay, you got me..."

The man smirked. "You better be looking out for those Croft girls then. They're sneaky little ladies, and Tomb Raiders just like ye are. I was saving this map for them, but you've beaten them to it."

Corey cocked an eyebrow. "Croft girls?... Never heard of them in my life..."

Misaki continued to walk among the crowd of people. She still had her hood on and was getting some really awkward looks. I better find a clothing shop to blend in, she thought in her mind.

 

OOC: I won't get you, I wouldn't hurt my buddies :glomp:

BIC: Josh followed Misaki at a distance, lost in thought.

OOC: >.< stupid writer's block.

 

The man chuckled. "Just be watching out for them..."

Corey smiled a little and moved the hat brim to the side of his head. "Will do.." He looked down at the map and slowly opened the tube. The map was ancient, and well worned. Corey whistled lowly. "So... how much is this going to be?" Corey had a feeling it was going to be expensive.

The man chuckled and had Corey lean in close to he could whisper the price in his ear.

Corey moved away and opened his eyes wide in shock. "That much!?"

The guy shrugged his shoulders. "What do you expect from an ancient treasure map?"

Misaki looked around at the shop, eyeing each store name and looking inside each one of them. "No..." She walked on and looked into the shop again. "Not that one either..." She spoted a store and smiled. "There we go..." She slipped inside the shop, disappearing from sight.

OOC: Hm... how to make this exciting... XD

 

OOC: Hehehehhehe, I know what do if Foofy ever gets back on....he no posty *cries*

BIC:Josh stopped outside the shop, considering whether to go in or not. He sighed, then leaned against the wall, waiting for Misake to come out.

 

OOC: He's at school. ^^;

BIC:

After a short time, Misaki came out of the shop. Her dress and robe she had earlier were replaced with a pair of blue jeans, black and white sneakers, and a black hoodie to complete it. She smiled and looked down at herself. "At least I'll blend in now..." She sensed another one of her kind near by and looked in that direction. "Hm?"

Corey stepped out of the shop, black map tube tied to his back. "Oh boy... I hope this treasure map isn't a fake." He muttered. "Oh well... at least I have things to survive on until I find this treasure." He smiled at the thought as he continued walking, sticking his hands in his pockets to pull out a stick of gum.

 

OOC: I knu, but he should skip once in a while, hehe ^^'

BIC: Josh walked up to Misake. "Trying to blend in?" he asked, grabbing her wrist. He had already prepared for coming here, and was dressed in grey jeans and a blue sweatshirt.

 

Misaki looked at Josh in surprised. "Well yeah..." Her eyes were searching his in confusion. What just happened exactly?

 

Josh pulled her away from the store, to the park next door. "I just got word. The Council has been killed. All of them. Avalon is gone." What were they supposed to do now? Their rulers and the place they had lived was gone.

 

Misaki gasped at the news. Her eyes showed total shock. How was she suppose to really react to this? She asked the question that was on Josh's mind really quietly. "What are we going to do now, Josh? We can't go back... can we?"

 

Josh shook his head, thinking. "We should still get the Croft twins....but until I can find a place to get more information.......is there a hotel around here?

 

Misaki nodded her head slowly. "Possibly," she said quietly. The news still shocked her. Why did this happen to her people?

 

Josh started walking. He looked back at Misaki. "C'mon, we need to go." he said gently. He could see that the news had shocked her. "Whoever found Avalon and destroyed it, may try to find and do the same to us."

 

Misaki nodded her head, not saying another word. This was all fun and games seeing a new world up till now. Now they were probably running for their lives. She followed Josh closely, keeping her eyes to the ground.

 

Josh felt bad for Misaki, but he hid it. Most people didn't care for pity. He kept walking, eventually coming to a hotel. "Separate rooms?" he asked Misaki, stepping inside.

 

"Sure. Where do you live? Like do you have a house?" she asked curiously

 

OOC: Its okay, not everyone is as obsessed as me :D and from now on i'm shortening Devlina's name to Dev, otay? :3
Devlina shook her head. "She was a tombraider. Tombraider's make lots of enemies......and she tried to destroy the Avalonians... "

 

"Yes..." Misaki said quietly while following Josh behind. She quietly looked around at the decorations that covered the walls and were laid.

 

Josh nodded, getting to rooms across from each other. He handed Misaki a room key, and led the way up the stairs to their rooms.
