Lol..I know for our ages it's a little kiddy but here's why I think it's a pleasant show to watch, and I've always liked it since I was a child.

It is really creative and the 2 main characters can speak without words. Their emotion, actions and gestures say it all.
    It has humour.
It's concept is very basic yet entertaining.
    It's a classic

    Your opinions?

A classic cartoon discussion? Maybe there IS a god...
Tom & Jerry wasn't a TV show, it was a series of theatrical shorts released from 1940-1957.
This is the cartoon that perfected the art of cartoon violence. Period. The characters were one-note, but I never cared about that. I just wanted to see a cat & mouse kill each other, and that's what I got. =P

The BEST thing that had ever happened to cartoons and tv. A great classic for all ages and it never gets old. This is what makes cartoons what they are. And thanks to Tom & Jerry, I had my famous moment of pet turtle-cicles.

Such a great cartoon, especially in terms of story -- or more accurately, lack thereof: it's entertainment in the most basic sense.

And that's what makes it awesome.

I will admit though I got sick of watching it over and over on Cartoon Network when I was young, but it sure as hell would be better than what they show nowadays. =/

Ah, I remember Tom & Jerry. It was really an awesome cartoon, but being a cat-lover I'd always got mad when Tom got hurt or did something stupid to let the mouse get away. Though if Tom ever caught Jerry, I guess their fun would have to end.
