.. the first volume of Fullmetal Alchemist in a Norwegian translated edition in the local Kiwi market, half the price of the English addition yet same amount of chapters. And I can only say:

    it's about frikkin time.

I've already reached to 13 volumes though. Norway's a damn slowpoke in the manga buisness.

Advantage for Norwegian edition - the value is usually 50 NOK, while an English edition is around 100 NOK as regular.

Advantage for English edition - they come first. + language is international.

Argh the new books are always friggin late in Norway. Like when they said the translated version would be out almost immidiately when they advertised for it, it took at least 2 or 3 months before it came =/.

I hate the fact that on some books they don't even announce when the next volume will arrive. Hellsing was completly neglected by Norwegian Mangismo, only lasted one single volume and we never hear from it again! :< I fear that this could happen with FMA too, not as much as a whisper on when we can espect the next issue. At least Detective Conan's still running, even if I have to guess when the next volume's out.

I guess InuYasha and Dragonball gets more attention.. It seems that everytime I look for new manga volumes it's always on the stuff I DON'T read that are on the shelves. Highly irritating.

There's also rumours that Negima was supposed to be translated during Fall 2007 - haven't seen it yet, not even in Outland.

See, this is why I sometimes wish we were in America.

Yes, and they totally neglect some series. And they stopped Shonen Jump for absolutely no reason x_x
I get pretty pissed. Though Nemi is the only thing I can rely on (not a manga btw) some mangas, most of them gets out on the same day >:3*hinthint*

First comic I buy is M, then Nemi. ;3 More internet humour with Mads, I guess.

Though I usually get those when I have to wait for my damn manga.

*needs to look for Chrono Crusade...*

Oh, I always buy Nemi first xD I've read it since the first issue was released. :3

    I know D<

They have got that over here, at Rimi. they usually have a lot of mangas and new stuff it just take a shitload of time before they arrive there.

    Err... Shonen Jump stopped publication in Japan since like... June of last year... o_o;;;

Manga Magazines is a "dying market", apperantly.

Yes but manga etc is a new thing comming to Norway. The market hasn't established so well yet, that's why everything is so late etc.

But it didn't come too many issues of Shonen Jump, like there's no way that could've been all D=

    God Bless America. ;D
Seriously, why don't you find someone who translates online? That's what I do to keep up with the Japanese manga. Saves money and time. ;D

I got Lise's autograph when she was at Raptus one year, it was an annversary I think and the first book released - she drew a ghost with a flower in it's hand to me.. :3

I know I can always count on a certain Safari market to get my Detective Conan - almost nowhere else do I find him, not even in the deepest city. (unless it's Outland - but I'm not exactly a neighbour)

The only thing we got out of Norwegian Shonen jump for about 2-3 years was Yu-Gi-Oh (which btw they skipped majorly with chapters at one point), Ruonin Kensjin *probably wrote that wrong*, Shaman King (I enjoyed that but wasn't arsed enough to buy the mangas) and Naruto. + Sandland and One Piece in some few issues. That's it.

Oh, I do... But for my absolute faves I would much prefer to own them in book form, it's like some sort of trophy to me. :3

Gwah! you're SO lucky. Why can't Raptus be closer to where I live D:
Bah, anyway I'll go some time anyway FOR SURE.

I honestly hated yu-gi-oh I usually just skipped the chapters with it and was depressed when they put in extrea chapters of it at times X3

But the others were good :3

and I agree on trophy, also Crono crusade is already out on our Rimi store! :o

Well.... You could have lived in Bodø.... That's far...

Extra chapters for uninteresting mangas made me bleed inside.... It was a frikkin joygasm if there were even extra pages of the ones I likes.

CURSE YOU LOCAL KIWI!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the other had they had FMA so meh. I'll forgive you this time.
