    So hello, hello~
    I finally went back to drawing after much deprivation from my trip - I brought a sketchpad but I really found no time to draw, except in the airport on the way to the States. I've also not been able to do commissions on DA, even though I have four pending and since I am doing such a terrible job at it I have decided tho close commissions on DA after I've completed the four on my list. It's becoming too much of a hassle for me as the people who ask demand so much! xD I know it'll probably be like this in the future but I've decided to gradually make my way there and once my other commissions are done... I'll be opening a little art shop here on KHV! n __ n I hope people will be interested though, I'm not too sure... but I'll do it anyway 8D
    I just wanted to throw it out there, but anyway here are a few pieces I would like to share and ask for some comments, opinions, critique, etc:

    This first one is of a fairy (because I love fairies to death) that I drew in the Philippine Airport while waiting for the plane to arrive and allow us to board. It's just a pencil sketch thing I decided to do to kill time - and luckily, this took quite some time than my usual pencil sketches. I'm not so sure if I'll be colouring this. Part of me wants to but I'm still figuring out which medium would be best. I also don't know if it's worthy of being coloured into a "bigger" piece (being more detailed and improved etc).

    And this is my current work in progress. It's not one of my commissions but I wanted to try and make a successful piece before back to commissions because I fear I will just ruin them ; ; Anyway, these two are my OCs Mint and Drew (further explaination to who they are some time later as I plan to submit this to TAotM). I just wanted to try some fantasy-like thing because I'm not really sure why but I did it anyway. Long story short, yes they are lovers. Yes, Drew is a guy and Mint is the girl - my brother thinks he looks very feminine but I'm sorry I just love eyelashes and inspired him from this singer who has long hair ; n ; Anyway, I plan to colour this with my markers soon - maybe later but I'm still plotting colours. I feel like I got too attached to my Sakura brush pen and used too much black... but I think it also makes contrast but I'm still feeling very paranoid.

    sorry for so much text. heeeelp ; A ;

    The pencil sketch is beautiful, I personally think water colout would be best (plus I know you are good at it) as it's quite soft in comparison to something like oil paint or something. However, if you want to try somethnig new, which is always a good thing to do, then I'd experiment with something you aren't that great at, whatever that may be. Also, I don't know if it's just me but I feel there is somethnig a tiny bit off with her proportions but I can't put my finger on it, oh well, it's still a gorgeous piece. You could add more detail if you want but I personalyl think it is fine as it is, sometimes simplicity is just so much better.

    Dinny.... that detail <3 I personally really like the black- it is quite manga-y in the way that it is drawn (duhh) but yes I definitely think it would be improved with colour, bold colours with shading. I think it would really help with distinguishing it all because there is a lot gonig on and it can be hard to make out what is what. You have got the proportions basically spot on and the flow of hair and the black shading is done beautifully. My main concern is Mint's fringe (or bangs in American speak xD) should be darker because if the light is coming from the top left and she is in Drew's shadow then there should just be more darkness there, especialyl since the rest of her hair is coloured that way.

    These are lovely Dinny, I always love your work- keep it up.

    Oh my, water colour? I'm quite horrible at it to be honest. I can't seem to control it very well, but it was one of my top choices as well. And you took the words out of my mind as for the reason why x) I would like to keep ho soft the image turned out to be. I would like to try it digitally as well because I'm even more horrible at digital art and it won't be much of a problem if I did colour it digitally since I'd still have the original piece to try the watercolours. Yeah, I think I'll be doing that, then.
    I see so much mistakes in the proportion haha, I know it's bad, but i'm honestly just trying to ignore it because I don't really want to touch it anymore. I'm quite satisfied. Ish. It still bugs me but oh well. I'll try colouring it maybe later c:

    /bold colours with shading, check. That's the main reason as to why I'm going to take this further by colouring it. I can't even distinguish myself sometimes with what's going on lol. I've already plotted colours last night so maybe I'll try colouring this a little later. I plan to use markers because I've missed them so much ( although I really wish I had copics ; ; ). Oh my! I totally forgot about that, how silly of me. I really did not think of that at all. I am so glad I haven't started colouring it yet. I'm so silly. Mint is under the shadow of Drew which means she'll be casted with his shadow as well. Oh my, okay, I'll grab my brush pen again and add some more~ And darken the colours I use with Mint.
    I'll definitely keep all of this in mind while I colour.

    Thank you so so so much Enzy for all your words and such fantastic critique. You always help out in the best way possible ; u ; ♥
