Title Unknown~ Maka's Poem

My Notes: So, I got in the creative mood tonight and I decided to attempt to write a poem. I am rusty, and I apologize to you awesome poets who ever lays their eyes on this...

Kind of a reflection of my mood right now. I felt emotions while writing it, so I hope somehow you'll like it. I need a couple of lessons how to write poetry. xP

Here we go

~Title Unknown~

Life’s vibrant golden days
Stagnant now, peel, and fade;
Light once there, but is no more
Darkness once never here, wraps around the soul
Coldness, bitterness, pierces the very core
Watch me as I fall further in my own sinkhole.

To you, I am all but gone
And maybe I am
You snuffed the life I had left inside
Now there is no choice but to hide
No hope for this wretched pawn
I am nothing more than a hopeless sham

But look, something is ahead
Maybe after all I’m not left for dead.
A soft voice calls, a hand reaches forward
“No!†came my scream, “I can’t!â€
But it was my hour, a voice answered
I could only listen to the descant

A warmth envelopes the ice
Tears that shattered the world all but have dried
Arms hold me tightly, there is no price
Something tells me to say goodbye
I am wonderful, brilliant, and bright
Something tells me this is right

This is the way to be

 

First of all, I don't think you need poetry lessons to be a good poet (the only reason your taught poetry is so you know what kinds of poems there are, but that's just my opinion).

You did really great at this. I really enjoyed reading it, and I was tearing up at some parts (it may have to do with the fact that I was listening to Xion's them that just randomly popped up on MP3 palyer, but that's neither here nor there).

And I'm glad you two liked it (even though you teared up, Tummer. xDDD) And yeah, at one point I was thinking about Xion while writing this out (the part where Riku calls her a Sham anyways), so I was a little bit influenced there. xD
