Ok at first I hated the idea of bringing back a movie that was already amazing into 3D due to the success of The Lion King in 3D. I heard a lot of amazing things about The Lion King in 3D but someone had to open their mouth and say "Why dont we bring back Titanic?" and that person is James Cameron to ruin the whole thing.
I am one of those people who are annoyed of 3D movies being everywhere now because of James Cameron's AVATAR. There is something about the trailer to Titanic 3D that shut me up and made me so speechless my heart was pounding at the second half of the trailer(at 1:34).
I have seen the movie before but I would not mind seeing it again to have a theatrical experience of the movie. If your interested watch the official trailer below, it comes out April 6, 2012.

I didn't know about this, but I like the idea. Mostly because I always wanted to see the movie on the big screen.
But the original movie was James Cameron's lol

You mean the ship wasn't sinking in 3D D:
It was all just 2D lies!! >_<

The only reason they're not releasing it sooner is because the release date is the 100th anniversary of the Titanic Sinking

man, even watching this trailer makes me think of the movie and has me choking up.

But still, at least it's got a higher resolution. And I'm not too sure about putting this in 3D, I mean, are there really all that many places to actually have 3D?

That was the idea for it originally and I support it completely. :)

Yes it is in high resolution. I am not sure about the places for the 3D to be necessary except for the sinking because its been years since I last seen it.

I just watched the trailer you provided, and started bawling.

I am annoyed by 3D being everywhere, and when I saw the title my initial reaction was; "Wtf? JUST LEAVE IT ALONE."

But I have to say...I would probably go see this in theaters and I'm kind of excited. x:

I mean, I know I'll probably have a breakdown right there in my seat, but still.

Because everything must be in 3D. -Is anticipating the Little Mermaid in 3D because ZOMG, movie theater-

Well I don't think I'll be going to see it, but I think it's cool they're letting movies like this get another shot at the big screen for the next generation.
Of course half the men that show up are just there to see Kate Winslet in 3D.

I swear, if we end up with a wooden boy in 3D, I'm going to go mad.

But if it came out on DVD, I'd probably see it...just for the higher resolution though, I don't care for the 3D

I still find the cussing in a Disney film hilarious. It's one thing when Maleficent is using the powers of hell, but they said ass like 5 times in Pinocchio. Still funny, but if they put that in 3D I'll cry...

Eh, I'm still tempted to get the blue-ray Lion King, but seeing as I have like two VHS of it.. Also I'll repeat the part about Kate in higher resolution.

I might watch it. Just as long it doesn't have a rapping dog.

This. This This This This This.

But yeah, I really enjoyed this movie, even though a lot of my teachers say it was completely rubbish.
This movie in 3D is an excellent idea, can't wait to see this...as long as they actually make use of the 3D for most of the film, unlike COUGHLion King 3DCOUGH.

I didn't want to see it when it first came out and I doubt 3D is going to change my mind.

To be honest, I don't know why they would make it 3D since from what I can recall, nothing really "pops out" at you during the movie. I've always loved the movie but the idea of it being 3D seems pointless to me. I guess for better quality and all that, but yeah. I wouldn't watch it in theaters due to the whole 3D thing.

The trailer made me emotional though. >> And now I feel like watching Titanic.

    >Spoilers in post, I guess. |:

    This.

I think the only part that might matter in 3D is when all of the water was rushing in and stuff. I mean, James Cameron threw random action into the movie. xD So I'm guessing the most 'exciting' part of the whole 3D experience will be when Leo and Rose are trapped and stuff and he's trying to outrun 3D water and everything is rapidly flooding.

@Thread; I'm excited though. *___* Mainly for the high quality. I'm not a bit fan of 3D in general, but the higher quality and emotional impact will make it worth it to me.

Sadly, i've never seen this movie.

From the trailer, I can tell they've at least upped the quality for the re-release.
Since it releases twelve days before my birthday this could be my chance to truly cry at the movies~

I guess their just running out of ideas for movies now and are bringing back classic ones from before and add something new to it. In this case 3D.

Would be interesting to see it though.

I remember seeing it with my mumma a couple years back, and I loved it. I still love it so much that I will go see it next April. (And so will my mumma because it's the day before my B-Day.)
But, I don't really like the idea of 3D in the Titantic, of all movies. I mean, we know they'll use the 3D in the fighting scenes, and when the ship is sinking. But, what else can they use 3D in? At the Third-Class party? I dunno about the 3D, but I'll still be seeing it.

Looks like it'll be good on its own, but I can't see it passing for a remake of the original. I wish they'd first take the original film and add a 3D effect to that instead, but that's my opinion.
