Time warp

"do you wanna sit here Cas-Caleb?"s asked suddenly remembering the fake name he was using.

 

Conni raised an eyebrow, this was more then the first time that she'd messed up his name. And seeing how buddy-buddy the two were this didn't seem like it should be happening. It was getting more then just suspicious.

"It's up to you, I don't mind." Casey shrugged, trying his best to act casual about the slip of the tongue.

 

"Might as well"she shrugged" Or we'll be sitting with my idiot brother or your moody sister"

 

"Okay." Casey said, sitting down near the door on the opposite side of the carriage to Conni.

"You know I'm not going to bite you."

 

Lyra laughed sitting down "He's jut a little...weird like that...very cautious around certain people."

 

"Hmm." Conni said raising an eyebrow. "Anyway, how come we didn't see your parents? I find it hard to believe you guy don't all have parents."

 

"they...just...dropped us off....they're busy..."

 

"Ah huh." Conni nodded, obviously not believing them for one minute.

 

she looked around the carriage as the silence got a little akward

 

After sitting in the silence for a few minutes Conni broke the abscence of noise with her cutting yet angelic tone. "I know you lot a lying through your teeth." She said, smiling sweetly.

Casey choked slightly on the chocolate frog he was eating, nearly spraying the floor with half chewed chocolate. "Wh-What," He said, looking up and blinking choking tears from his eyes. "Makes you say that?"

 

she gasped loudly oh sh*t....we are so f*cked....if she knows....if she even suspects....we'rein deep sh*t...

 

"I'm a good liar, therefore I can spot bad ones." She said casually, fiddling with a strand of her long ash-blonde hair. "I don't know what it is you're hiding, but it's big. Am I right?"

 

she glanced helplessly at Casey, the jig is up she thought,"Yes.."she sai quietly,looking at her feet

 

"You're also very easy to crack under pressure, you might want to work on that. If you own up to a five foot nothing, fifty three kilo girl then how would you hold up under actual torture." Conni said, a sly grin crossing her face. It was the Malfoy look of pleasure over causing other's discomfort. "Now, I'm not going to make you tell me your secret. But," She said, raising an eyebrow as she paused her speech. "If you want to get it off your chest, I'm all ears."

 

"I-I dont know if....we can....if we should tell you...."she said staring wide eyed from Casey to Conni "It might mess things up..."

 

Casey sighed and ruffled his hair. "Just us being here has already disrupted the flow, just don't give out any real spoilers."

"Just tell me if you're going to already."

 

"Exactly....and they're not stupid....eventually they will put two-and-two together.....we might as well...."she said turning her attention back to Conni..."we're....not...from this timeline..."she said carefully measuring the blonde's reaction...."we're from the future....way into the future..."

 

"Oh, cool." Conni said, leaning back in her seat. Totally not bothered by the news. "How far in the future?"

 

she bit her lip "Twenty years..."she said quietly

 

"So I'd be thirty-four." She said tapping her chin thoughtfully. "If I'm alive that is. I'd be surprised if I was to be honest, way things are going. Oh well." She shrugged. "And I'm guessing you're Lily's girl. The likeness is too much to deny. And you," the tiny blonde said pointing at Casey. "Must be Scorpious', you're the spitting image of the b*stard."

Casey sighed slightly, deciding it'd be easy to just go with what she said then correct it and possibly cause more problems between her and his father. "Yep. Sounds right to me."
