Time Travel

If we Time travel

If we time traveled in the past we would know it would happen before be time travel.Becouse it already happened.

 

Time travel was proved to be impossible BUT because time is relative it can be made to seem as if you've travelled in time. For example, in the approach to a black hole times starts to slow down. To an observer, you would be falling into the black hole forever, but to you the rate of time would be normal.

Time itself is the fourth dimension after all, so I suppose if you can travel through the first 3 (i.e. 3D space) then you could travel through time. Lol, there is so much more that could be said but I can't be bothered and I can't remember it anyway ;D

 

Can you not bump an old thread?

 

On some forums it's frowned upon and on others no one cares. I have no idea how people feel about it, but if it dies I think it best the thread stay dead.

 

personally i cant see how you can go back to what already happened xD; no machine can possibly bend the entire universe to go back in time.

time travel would be nice to have o.o if you kill some1 while in the "past" that person would vanish off the face of the earth in the "present" since in the "past" he was killed o.o possibly.

about bumping: you can after the thread has been dead for 12 hours i believe.

 

You can't change the past. It might brake existence. And that's bad.

If you killed your grandmother in her crib, you wouldn't exist. If you didn't exist, there'd be no one to kill your grandmother. But, if your grandmother exists, you would go back and kill her... ad infinitum.

Here's a theory that sounds logically: Time is set in stone. It's kinda hard to get it into words. Um... I'll let someone else try this...

 

that makes sense in a weird kind of way xD; havent really thought of that. hm.

moral: time travel is bad [but fun] xD

 

Ah yes the Grandparent paradox, going back in time and killing your grandparent, destroying your line stopping you from existing. But you would then no longer exist to go back in time to kill said person, therefore they wouldn't die so you would exist.

Also, technically anything that has been changed in the past by somone in the future has already been done as it is already part of the past. And anyway, changing things in the past is far too unpredictable, there would be no way of telling what the consequences would be of preventing something from happening or causing something else to happen.

 

1) Because if you went back in time and killed someones father then the persons decendent wouldn't be born.

 

I think I choose number 2

Even if we Time Travel,we still cannot change the order of things.We might only be able to see our past selves but not change whatever we are doing.Our past selves might only see us as spirits from the future.What's done is done and we choose our destiny.

 

For god sakes, people, stop bringing back long dead threads!

i say its a bad idea. for example. pablo escobar... he started the drug trifficking in the world. people might say, 'without him, life would be good. no drug exporting.'
but.... where would the world really be today? also... there is a thory.... i dont believe it but..... people say that if you went back and killed hitler or whatever, soomeone would replace him. its fate. i dunno. i am against it.
