Time Travel is the best plot device in a gaming. Period.

You see Makaze and Vivi, if Link were time traveling, he would not be able to go back in his own time stream. Sheik said (in layman's terms): "The Master Sword is like a boat. You go upstream, and you find a new destination, you go downstream, and you find your point of origin." That means that the Master Sword is the Time Machine. HOWEVER, this is not the case. He is unraveling his time stream or sewing it together by 7 years each time he uses the Pedestal of Time, therefore keeping his memories (eg: "Doctor Who: The Big Bang" when
The Doctor's time in his eleventh incarnation is unraveling, he keeps his memories and can interact with Amy at various points, most notably during the part with the Weeping Angels)

That is incoherent and you should not have mentioned Doctor Who because it is full of paradoxes, especially in that part.

His consciousness goes forwards and then back in time. That remains unchanged by what you said.

I don't think you understand what a paradox is. A paradox is a situation that is possible but illogical. For example, if a man were to go backward in time and convince his mother to abort him, he would not have been born to go back in time and convince his mother to abort him, which means that he never went back in time to convince his mother to abort him, and therefore must have been born to go backward in time and convince his mother to abort him, which means that he did go backward in time to convince his mother to abort him. But that means he could not have been born to go back in time and convince his mother to abort him, which means that he never went back in time to convince his mother to abort him, and therefore must have been born to go backward in time and convince his mother to abort him, which means that he did go backward in time to convince his mother to abort him. And so on.

With the Song of Storms thing, all that happens is Link going into the future, finding the Song of Storms, and then going back and using the Song of Storms to frustrate that poor accordion player. Frustrating that poor accordion player does not prevent Link from going forward in time or finding the Song of Storms. Therefore, it's not a paradox, just a sequence of events that only makes sense when viewing it from Link's timeline rather than the rest of the world's timeline.

It's not a loop either. It has a clear beginning and end. Link goes into the future, learns the Song of Storms, and goes back in time to play it in the windmill. How is that a loop?

If he hadn't played it as a child, he wouldn't have learned it as an adult, making him unable to play it as a child, so then he wouldn't learn it as an adult, but If he had to play it as a child to learn it as an adult, where did it originate in the first place?

I'm very disappointed in all of you for not mentioning the Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver series. The time travel was fantastic in those games.

It is a great game, but parts of the story didn't make any sense due to time travel/paradoxes.

I thought the whole series had a weak story. Gameplay and graphics were great though. I want start a development team and make another PS2-like platformer so bad.

I'm rather upset that no one's praising Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky.
