Time to Rise Again

Asuka saw someone waving at her as she rode by. "...The hell?"
She hit the brakes and directed the bike so it rotated 180 degrees, facing the person that flagged her. She said nothing, but steadied herself and the bike with one leg on the ground, and cautiously watched the man.

 

Shinji had stood still as she did the turn and he'd have to honestly say, that was very good in itself as he whistled lightly in response as he chuckled a bit nervously, the stare he felt from the woman was something of either a glare or cautious as if she expected him to do something unexpected.

"You're from another world aren't you?" He asked the woman as he kept his hands at his sides, indicating he had nothing to hide and was defenseless, of course, he wielded a keyblade but she didn't know that, besides, he always put the person's needs before his own.

 

"Sky... so it really is you. I felt like you were wiped off the face of the universe man!"
Cat ignored Luna because of the memories brought up from being reunited with her dear old friend.
"Wait... if history really is repeating itself then I think we both know what's gonna happen next."
She thought of Asuka. If she was in the third district then they were all in for a fight.
"Come on! We've gotta find Asuka and make sure she's not in the third district. I can heal you Sky, but after that we'll be in the middle of battle. You think you'll be able to manage okay?"
She healed him and waited for his response. If he wasn't sure of himself she'd just go on alone. After all she had both her keys to fight with and she'd had plenty of experience already.

 

The boy's question caught Asuka off guard. She was silent for a moment, then said, "So what if I am? Unless you know what happened to Midgar, I'm not interested."
She revved the bike's engine again, steering it so it was facing the direction of Luna's house, but looked back at the boy and said, "There's some people where I'm going that are from other worlds, or so they claim. Follow if you want. Keep up."
With that, she lifted her foot off the ground and took off towards the third district, back to Luna's house.

 

"Uh, right, Cat." Crimson was never one who just jumped into something without a plan, but now didn't seem like time for thinking. If something was going to happen for the greater good, then it had to be now. He summoned his Keyblade, half smiling at his old friend. He then turned to Luna, who was sitting on the bed. She had the face of depression and Crimson felt half responsible. "Sorry for what happened back there, but thanks for sealing the wound."


Luna was much more than confused at this point. Her frustration was getting to her. She felt that she never did anything wrong and was on top of things, so why was her life changing so suddenly. When Crimson finished his appology, she looked away. She wished that she had Cat's power of healing people, but that was something that seemed out of her league at the moment. "Your welcome; Is it alright if I tag along with you guys?" Luna didn't try it, but her Oathkeeper appeared suddenly. Her face changed, a new emotion appeared.


"Fine with me," Crimson said smugly. He then turned to Cat once more. "So kid, have you improved any since you dissappeared? Just remeber who was the King of the fighters on the islands."

 

"Midgar?" He thought about about it, he never knew that world but then again, in the story of Sora's journey, they had to make sure they didn't let the knowledge that there are other worlds out there besides their own when traveling, if he recalled correctly, it was called meddling and that it could upset the course that world was meant to take but Shinji didn't think about it anymore until he heard the the woman ride off to the Third District.

"She did say there were others besides herself, maybe one of them might be a resident of Twilight Town." Shinji thought to himself and soon he started to run in the direction of the woman, he had to be thankful for his stamina and training from Struggle and odd jobs to keep up and keep her within his sights.

 

"Yeah yeah... just remember... you were also the king of cocky. Ha ha ha..."
She missed being able to just laugh like this, but now wasn't a time for self pity. She summoned her Keyblades and turned to Luna.
"You can come if you want but it'll be dangerous. If you know how to hold your own in a fight then please do so, becuase you don't quite know how to properly use your Oathkeeper and we've got ourselves to worry about."
She ran out the door to watch for signs of Asuka. Just then she heard a motor steadily approaching.
'Is it a Heartless?' She thought. 'No, the Guard Armor doesn't make that noise...' She began to feel the ground shake. She knew what was coming and if Asuka was on her way Cat could only hope that she'd be ready.
"Sky! Looks like we've gotten our wish... let's do this. I just hope you haven't gotten rusty on me!"

 

As Asuka crossed through the District, she felt a strange power calling out to her. It was a similar pull to the force the monsters of her home gave off, and she recognized it as darkness. It was a massive amount of darkness though, and she couldn't identify where it was coming from. Snarling, she shouted, "You're not tempting me, idiot! Whoever you are and wherever you are, I'm not giving in to the darkness!"
Just then, a huge mass of metal dropped from above, causing Asuka to swerve. She lost control and lept from the bike, landing as it crashed into a nearby wall. Looking back towards the metal and swore, seeing that it was now rising to what she assumed to be it's feet. Asuka summoned Fenrir, and taking an offensive position said, "I'll rebuild my bike with your damn parts if I have to...payback's coming."

 

Cat heard Asuka's yell and was relieved to know she was alright.
"Asuka!!!!! I'm coming!"
Cat could see that the walls were beginning to rise, sealing off the plaza. She leapt down to the ground to help fight the Guard Armor just as her great-grandfather had all those years ago.
She cast Gravira and it was unable to swing it's arms.
"Asuka! Hit it now!"
She had yet to perfect her spells. She had to keep her key held at an angle or the spell would wear off. She wanted to finish it off but she couldn't let a comrade get hurt because of her recklessness...

 

Shinji kept on running until the scene unfolded in front of him. "Whoa!" He stopped in his tracks from the little earthquake the Guard Armor had casued and looked at the woman, she was obivously not happy with teh way her bike got treated and then another female came out but with a keyblade and teh woman had one as well.

"A keyblade!?" SHinji thought in surprise, he thought he was the only one in Traverse Town with one, now he was badly wrong as he ran foward as he moved his arm, summoning his keyblade, Way to the Dawn as it materialized in his hand as he took hold of the handle and leapt up, hitting one of the hands with a few swings before gravity took effect and he landed on the ground, jumping away from the moving feet.

"If I recall, this thing can multi-task it's parts with ease, making it a hard enemy unless you destory the feet and hands first." SHinji thought as as he made room for himself.

 

Asuka looked back at Cat and nodded once. She launched herself forward, holding Fenrir back until she was in striking distance. She jumped off the ground, then brought the Keyblade down, striking from above, and then unleashed a string of combos that destroyed one of the arms. She got a few hits on the main body, but then Cat's spell wore off.
Retreating, she positioned herself next to Cat, eyes on the Guard Armor, and said, "We won't win this with strength alone, we need a plan." Thinking for a moment, she turned to Cat and asked, "How's your aim?"
She then looked over to Shinji, not surprised he had a Keyblade, and said, "You too, how well can you hit a moving target?"

 

Cat looked at Asuka knowing what her plan likely involved.
"It's... fairly accurate. You think you can get me a clear shot?"
This was a good chance for them to destroy it. She payed no attention to the other boy seeing as they had bigger things to worry about.
"Oh, I almost forgot... I know how to use my Keyblades freehand."
She demonstrated for Asuka by taking both her keys and tossing them into the air. They didn't fall back down but instead they moved towards the remaining arm. They slashed at it until it faded into darkness.
"Pretty cool, huh? Took me plenty of practice to be able to do that..."
Cat smiled knowing that she wasn't totally useless.

 

Shinji was about to answer until the female pulled off that move against it's arms and looked to her then Asuka. "If you call fighting against angry bees or fighting in foam weapon battles then yes, I can attack moving targets." Shinji said in response, somehow, he just had to sweatdrop at the bees comment, who in their right mind attacks angry bees with a Struggle Bat for some Munny?

Shinji had to mentally slap himself, he just insulted himself for that thought. "Note to self, stick with Struggle and never go for the Bees job in the town ever again." He thought to himself.

 

Asuka nodded at Cat again. "Good, I was hoping one of you guys could do that..."
Staring at the Guard Armor in thought, she made several mental calculations then spoke to the two younger Keyblade wielders. "This is what we're gonna do..."
She looked at Cat and said, "Focus as much magic into one of your Keyblades as you possibly can, cast Gravira, and try to hit the emblem on the main body. As long as you can pin it, we'll have a shot at taking this thing down in one go. After the spell takes effect, we're going to charge it," and looking at Shinji, continued, "I'll take the right leg, you and her take the left. If the spell wears off after we take out the legs, retreat, and then repeat the attack once we regroup. Keep an eye out for any suspicious movements from the main body if the spell fades, the less damage we take the better. Sound good?"
Asuka felt slightly out of place from speaking so much to people she hardly knew, but this was not a time to question her usually quiet ways.

 

"Hmph... well then it's a good thing I can multitask."
Cat focused all her power into the tip of the Kingdom Key D and cast Gravira on the main body of the Guard Armor. She then used her freehand abilities to attack the left leg along with Shinji. When it disappeared she went ahead to try and deal some damage to the main body as well. Then she tried something she had never successfully done before. She tried to use Blizzard while holding her Gravira. It was a risky move since she had never perfected using two spells simultaneously. She tried to focues half her power into the Blizzara spell but it was no use. She was all out of power. She managed to hold the Gravira for a few more seconds but then she blacked out. She was physically exausted. She had used too much of her magic on healing Luna and Sky. She had failed...
"Man..." She thought, "can I ever do anything right...?"
She fell to the ground and both her keys disappeared.
She began to fall into a deep sleep... one which would show her the truth about herself... and her powers.

 

Shinji worked alongside the young female as the leg broke away and he jumped back and leapt to attack the main body with her until gravity came back in again as he noticed the young girl fainting. "That's not good!" He thought to himself and stood in front of her as he strenched out his other hand as another Keyblade materialised within his right hand but it was very different to the ones Sora had used before.

"I was hoping to keep this as a an ace in the hole." He said to himself before twirling his keyblades expertly as they connected once, creating a sound as he held them and pointed No Name at the main body. "Stop!" he called out as No Name cats the spell, freezing the main body in place, for some reason, No Name seemed to work better with Time Magic and he worked to try and perfect it, No Name effectively boosted his control of Time Magic a she held it at an angle and pulled back Way to the Dawn as he threw it straight at the body, performing Strike Raid before calling it back and repeating at least two more times.

 

Asuka saw Cat fall. "Dammit!" she thought. Shinji's magic gave her a few moments to think, and she didn't like the options.
"...The hell with it," she muttered, then called out to Shinji, "Hey! Take her and get out of here, I'll hold it off as long as I can, if I don't come and find you soon, get help."
"I don't want to do this...but I can't let anyone die here."
Without waiting for a reply from Shinji, Asuka held Fenrir in her right hand, and formed a fist with her left. She took a running start, and as she ran she willed darkness to form around her fist, then punched the Guard Armor's time-frozen body with her full force, knocking it into one of the walls that had risen from the ground, allowing an escape route. She turned to Shinji and shouted once more, "Go!"

 

Cat was totally unconscious. She had no idea what was going on in the battle.
"Nngh... why do I have to be so useless...? Why can't I be as strong as he was? I don't deserve my Keyblades... I don't deserve to exist..."
Cat felt herself get heavier. It was the darkness inside of her. It was beginning to take her over...
"Not so fast!"
A boy cried out from a distance. It seemed as though he was watching over Cat, making sure she was safe. Almost like a guardian angel. She began to feel lighter until the boy appeared in front of her. She couldn't believe it...
"Y-you! Why are you..."
"Really, Cat. I can't just let you do this on your own now can I? This is my problem too. That's why I let the Keyblade go to whoever needed it the most. You really need help too. Before I moved on I put a failsafe in the Kingdom Key. If it's user should ever come close to falling to darkness i'd come back and stop it from happening."
"...Sora... thank you..."
Sora nodded and smiled the same way he used to with Riku and Kairi.
"Just remember. You've got the power to shape your own destiny..."
Just like that there was a flash of light and Cat began to wake up. She heard Asuka's screams and tried to get up to no avail.
"Nngh... i've gotta get out there..." She thought.
It was no use. She couldn't move. Her body was too weak.
"Oh, well. Good thing I can multitask!"
Cat summoned her Kigndom Key and willed it to finish off the body. She was too weak to even think about using magic so she just did what she could.

 

Shinji's eyes widened, he didn't want to leave a fellow comrade but eh couldn't leave someone unprotected until he heard the nosies from teh fainted one and tried to do somethign as he saw her keyblade as and he immediately dismissed the Way to the Dawn before breaking off into a run as he reached his hand out and grasped the handle of girl's Kingdom Key as he gave a brief glance at her and delivered quick executing strikes with No Name and her Kingdom Key before performing a cross slash upon the body and he looked the older woman.

"Now!" He called out to her, hoping she can deal the finishing blow as he prepared himself just in case.

 

Cat nodded and summoned her Kingdom Key D. She had one shot at this...
She willed it to fly high above the body and come crashing down at a ninety degree angle to utterly destroy the body. It was finished... they had won.
"Hey... can someone help me out over here? Heh heh heh..."
Cat was just relieved that it was all over. She felt horrible but she hoped that someone else was good with magic in their little gang.
