Time to Rise Again

"What do you mean we need protection? You just beat me to the punch is all! Anyway, I think we should go ahead and regroup. It'd be better to plan out our next move than to just wander around aimlessly. Luna, lead the way."
Cat couldn't believe what had happened in such a short amount of time. She had met two other wielders and formed something of an alliance. This was almost exactly like what her great-grandfather got to do. People always said she would do gresat things one day but she never imagined that she'd be following his footsteps so closely. Regardless of what happened her thoughts drifted back to the same question... what had happened to her childhood home?

 

Crimson's conscious finally broke through the strange darkness. He had only used his Keyblade twice before this moment, both under strange circumstances. He knew he had another one known as Decisive Pumpkin, which was the one he summoned twice. He researched the Keyblades in his youth to understand his power. His eyes slowly opened as he found himself laying in a bed, his hand over his chest. Strangely, he felt know pain; it was like his body wasn't abused by a storm. Before he could think anything, he heard voices from the other side of the door.


Luna was glad to have a sense of leardership in this group. It was much more fun than her daily ritural of work, eat, and sleep. She didn't wish for this thing to happen, but it at least made her life more interesting. Her new comrads were seem to fill her with more pride in the short while of knowing each other. This was her town, so for now, she felt like the leader. "So, could you please explain a little bit more about the Keyblades, other than the name and the shape of it. What kind of gift do I have exactly?" Luna twisted the handle to her room, unknowing of who was on the other side.

 

"Seemed more like oblivious to me," Asuka responded to the younger girl. She decided to let her explain to the girl that was evidently called Luna what Keyblades were, though Asuka was more than well-versed in the legends and usage that surrounded the weapons.

 

Luna opened the door but was stunned to see who was laying on her bed. He looked like he had just taken a nap, his face depressed and droopy. "W-who the hell are you?!" She didn't bother to allow the young man to answer, pulling out a knife from her belt. She had was reacting in the moment, completely forgetting about the Keyblade could summon (that is, if she knew how). In her mind, this was probably someone who was trying to rob her of the stuff that she worked so hard to earn.


Crimson slowly watch the door open, seeing three odd girls. One of them, with blue hair, let out an outburst, pulled out a knife, and attacked him. He wasn't ready for any of this! The girl cut his left arm, but didn't leave too big of a gash. "What's wrong with you?!" He pushed the girl off of him, throwing her to the other side of the room. He too was reacting on emotion. He summoned his Decisive Pumpkin, but mostly for show. If he could just intimidate her, maybe she would stand down.

 

Asuka's eyes narrowed. In a flash, she summoned Fenrir and was between Luna and the boy. She had Fenrir directed at the boy, issuing a silent challenge, but was also positioned so that she could disarm Luna from her knife if necessary.
"Explain," was all she said.

 

"I don't take orders from you," Crimson exclaimed. He then saw what he knew was another Keyblade. This was another Keyblade maater, but what was she doing with such a strange girl. He knew that this girl wasn't going to attack if she wasn't provoked and she would keep the blue haired girl at bay. His Keyblade disolved into the air as he playfully put his hands in the air. "Alright, alright; you can put that thing down now. I was caught in the middle of a storm and ended up here, end of story. What a cramped little place this is."


"This is MY home," Luna cried out. She could taste the blood in her mouth, an unpleasent feeling. This was the second time she was made a fool out of in one day. Any sense of pride or leadership was shattered. She tossed the knife to her side, relinquishing the weapon. There was no hole in her room, meaning that he didn't just smash into her room. However, the room was locked when she came in and there was no sign of forced entry. "That thing you had," she directed to the strange boy, "was that...a Keybalde?"

 

"Well, it's not exactly easy to explain but i'll try. The Keyblade is an ancient weapon that has always chosen the strongest people from different worlds to keep the balance between light and darkness. You have to have both or the balance will be destroyed and everything will begin to collapse. A long time ago there were two boys who lived on an island. One day the island was swallowed by darkness and the two were separated. One went down a path of light, while the other walked down a road of darkness. By the time they met again the boy who went to the dark had betrayed his friend and succumb to the darkness. He was taken over by an evil man who longed for the ultimate power of Kingdom Hearts. But the boy never gave up, he still believed in his friend and in the end he prevailed over the evil man. Kingdom Hearts was safe but to keep the balance his friend had to stay behind in the realm of darkness... when the door was sealed the worlds were all restored and the boy tried to find his friend. In the end they found each other again and they lived happily on the island. The boy of the light... he was my great-grandfather."
Cat summoned her Kingdom Key and pointed it upward.
"This key was his most trusted weapon... the one he used to defeat Ansem... and save the worlds. I never thought I was strong enough to do what he did... but here I am. I think the keyblade only chose me because we're related, not because i'm strong enough... but anyway, that's one of the legends. The one you've got is made of pure light. You've gotta be pretty special to get the Oathkeeper..."
Cat smiled. When she heard the reaction of the odd boy she summoned her other keyblade and pointed them both at him.
"Start talking... now!"
She could be intimidating when she wanted to be and now was no exception.

 

"A storm..." Asuka thought. Why did that seem so familiar?
She suddenly realized it. "I was caught in a storm while I was running a delivery for Grandfather...then I ended up in this town. I remember Heartless swarming me and the motorcycle...could the same thing have happened to this boy?"
"Tell me, do you remember seeing any kind of mysterious shadow creatures before and during the storm?" Asuka asked him, but did not lower her Keyblade.

 

"Woah, woah, woah," Crimson responded as he spoke to the new girl with two Keyblades. He was able to overhear the story of the Keyblades. He put his hands down, sitting on the bed. "You guys have given me no reason to trust you, but yet you want me to spill everything I know? I don't think so. New rules girls: Put down your weapons and let's talk like human beings for a minute shall we?" He then gestured to Askuka. "Besides, she can take me down in less than a second. There's much more going on than you may think."

Luna was now standing on her own two feet, ready for any kind of trick. She didn't understand everything that was going on: why would someone like me have a Keyblade of Light? It didn't matter; what came out of the boy's mouth caught her off guard. "What do you mean by that?"

"Are you that stupid?" Crimson asked. "Why else would four Keyblade masters assemble in the same place, one being the Desendent of Sora and one the Great-Grandson of Riku?" Crimson knew the legend all too well, knowing the story of Sora, Riku, and Princess Kairi. "How about some tea, then I'll talk; after you all disarm of course."

 

Asuka let out something similar to a low growl. "For one that has broken into another's home, you're one to talk of trust," she said, dissipating Fenrir, "But it does seem that fate brought us together. I warn you now - if I sense any kind of animosity I will punch you through the wall."

 

"Thank you; and I'll tell you this much: I am Crimson Sky. I wield the Decisive Pumpkin and I just woke up here, I didn't break in." He knew not to get their bad side, espeicially Asuka. He then turned to Cat. "I'll tell you a little more when the little one puts down her toys."

 

Asuka crossed her arms and leaned against the wall as Crimson spoke. Once he finished, she closed her eyes and said, "I guess this is just as good a time as any to introduce myself. Name's Asuka Strife. Fenrir is my blade. Trained as a warrior but worked as a deliverygirl. Don't know how I got here."
She looked over at Cat and Luna, hoping the two other girls wouldn't start a bigger conflict. She didn't feel like stopping more fights and reasoned that she'd just knock them all out of they tried to continue.

 

"Luna Mari," She said in a bit of a snarky voice. "I live here, always have. I guess my Keyblade is the Oathkeeper." Different people, different backstories, yet she belived hers to be the most simple. She made her way to the kitchen to warm up some water. She was making tea, not because of Crimson's orders but because her throat was sore. As the water was begining to boil, Luna found a string of bandage. She made her way to Crimson, bandage and sissors in hand. "Now be a good boy so I can fix your hand," Luna said, still annoyed by the boy.


"Whatever," Luis responded. Surprisingly, Luna was rather gentle with Crimson's arm. He expected her to cause some more damage to the wound by "accident" but she acted with respect. Still, he wasn't sure that these people could be trusted. He didn't know whose side these people were on. He was one to talk though.

 

Opening her eyes but looking down, Asuka thought, "So he woke up here too...interesting. But what does this mean?"
She thought back to all the stories passed down in her family, and recalled one from Cloud, in which he said that one day, Heartless invaded their homeworld and caused it to fall to darkness. He and the others woke in a whole different world, and assisted a boy in his quest to bring the light back to each world.
"Could it be...? Has history repeated itself again, and now we're the ones charged with saving the worlds? Then...what happened to my world? Is everyone safe? Will I have a home to even go back to?" All these thoughts were racing through Asuka's head, and in frustration she slammed her fist against the wall she was leaning against. Pushing herself off the wall, she called out, "I'm going to look for my bike. I was riding it when I was attacked, it better damn be around."

Other Information: A normal boy teenager soon to be adult with black hair and azure blue eyes as he wears a small jacket unzipped with a white t-shirt and red trousers with white laced trainers as he enjoys life as he lives on his own in Twilight Town, doing odd jobs for Munny and participating in Struggle Tournaments so he's a jack of all trades, keeping his strength and stamina up throughout his life, he often looks to the bright side of life and does his best to help others, even if it is considered a fault but he does know what is right and what is wrong, one day, during a Struggle Match, a unexpected storm arrived and Shinji found himself not wielding a bat but a strange weapon shaped like a key in both hands but he was whisked away to the world of Traverse Town.

He decided to move into the town after there seemed to be no hope of returning, he has however, mastered which Keyblade to call forth after hearing the story of Kingdom Hearts, he mostly prefers summoning Way to the Dawn since it was more well known in the story, No Name he keeps hidden away in case the situation calls for it or when he needs a change of style, he has managed to keep his secret as a key-bearer hidden within the town, but that may very well change when he meets others like himself.

Cat heard that this boy was brought here by a storm and couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu.
"WAIT! Did you say... you're the great-grandson... of... Riku?"
Wait, does that mean...? ...did the islands... really disappear!?
Cat couldn't help but tremble at the thought of history repeating itself.
"...did you... did you live on Destiny Islands... for your entire life...?"
Cat tried to remember the things of her past... those events seemed far off now... but they were so calm... almost dreamlike in her current situation. It was so many years ago. She would always play on the island with a boy who was four years older than her. At the time she was four and he was eight. She couldn't say his name so she would just call him Sky. She wondered if this was the boy from her past. They used to be best friends... but one day he moved to another part of the town, and they never saw each other again. It was too far for him to come to the little island anymore...
She was never going to let that part of the legend be repeated...
"S... Sky? Is it... really you? It's been so long..."

Shinji walked out his rented room as he strenched out a bit, it was another day in the same new world of Traverse Town he learnt from people living in the area, it did have a similar feel to that of his Twilight Town then he moved his legs around a bit.

"Must be deja vu perhaps." He mumbled to himself as he looked down the hallway as he wondered what he could for today. "Maybe do some more jobs or just have a relaxed day, which one should I go for?" He asked himself in a quiet voice, crossing his arms as he thought about it, he worked for the last five days doing some jobs around the town and earnt munny to pay for the rent and get food and drink for himself, hell, he even had to learn how to cook with help from his neighbour in Twilight Town since he lived alone after his parents passed away.

"I'm very thankful I learnt that, I'd probably have to live on fast food to even stay alive but that is unhealthy in itself." he thought as he walked down the hallway in thought, not taking any notice of his surroundings.

 

Asuka was relieved to be outside again, she prefered the cool night air to that of inside air. Her expression was that of deep thought as she wandered about the town's streets in search of her motorcycle. In reality, it was not actually hers, but her family's; her great-grandfather was the one that originally owned it and passed it down through the generations of the Strife Delivery business.
"If there's one thing I can't lose...it's that damn bike, with my luck it's the last thing I'll ever see of my home...or my family," Asuka muttered to herself. After walking around for a while, she finally came across the familiar glint of black in the back of another alley. Inspecting it, she realized that it was badly damaged. "Some pieces are going to need to be replaced...should be able to do that in this town, but I have no money, at least not for this world. At least the thing will run..." she thought as she mounted the bike and started the ignition. It made a choking sound, but seemed ridable.
Sighing, Asuka decided to go back to the others, having no other place to return to. She revved the engine and then took off in the direction she came from, not caring how loud the broken motorcycle sounded.

 

SHinji walked outside of the building as he kept on walking until a noise caught his ears, a loud revving noise as he was puleld out his thoughts. "What in the world is that?" He thought to himself, it did sound sort of familar of the trams or train in Twilight Town, meaning this noise ran on wheels and of course had an engine.

"Maybe it's a new form of machinery?" He asked himself. "Maybe I should go and see, I got nothing to do." He thought as he followed the sound of the noise and he looked around for any indication of where it was coming from but for some strange reason, it seem to get louder and louder each second. "Where is it?" He thought to himself, it was getting more louder as he turned his head and saw a damaged vehicle with a young woman on top and judging by the sound of that thing she rode on, it wasn't in it's best condition.

"Hang on, is it one of those light cycles in Sora's journey?" Shinji thought to himself as he thought about it as it didn't have blue lights covering it, maybe she was from another world like him and before he knew it, he was waving his hand at the rider to get her attention as he caught himself doing it "Why am I doing this? Maybe because I'm interested in another world?" He asked himself in his thoughts.

 

Crimson watched as Asuka ran out of the tiny house. He was half tired when he heard Cat talking. He suddenly remebered the same sound from before, a young girl's voice from his past. He remebered a young girl he was friends with, meeting under strange circumstances. It brought back memories of hope and happiness when he use to trust everyone so dearly. It also brought back how exactly he summoned his Keyblade for the first time. It was a night he though she dissappeared. That night was long after the last time he was her. It happened a while after she movied, then something happened to that part of town. What really happened that day? "You," He said to Cat. "I was told that you died. Cat, what're you doing here?"

After Luna fixed Crimson's wounds, she fixed the tea. Asuka had already left before Luna served any, but she still poured a glass for her, hoping for a return. "Wait, you two know each other?"
