Time of Twilight: Ashes to Ashes

(Inspired by the anime Monochrome Factor)

“Let’s go! Kiri!â€

A while ago…I noticed something strange about my shadow.

“You got it, Master!â€

It moved and talked on it’s own. Even took the shape of a girl and touched me. How was I supposed to react? I was terrified at first…but now…

“DIE!â€

I’m not afraid of what’s in the dark.

Bio: The unnamed boy discovered his shadow could move and take a girls form on his nineteenth birthday. Though his relationship with his shadow is strained, he rather enjoys her presence.
Other: Master is from a long line of Dark Hunters, though his lineage was hidden from him to protect him from something far greater of evil, he believes it is his duty to protect mortals from what’s in the dark of night.

Bio: Corona’s parents were killed by Dark Hunters because they were believed to be that of the Dark. She watched them die and the last thing she heard her father say… “…Master.†Taking it the wrong way, she vowed to form a group strong enough to take down the Dark Hunters and the Dark. Devoting her life to bringing light to wherever she may go.
Other: The Light Hunters aren’t fond of a leader younger than them so constantly Corona has had to prove herself in battle and in the Hunter Council.



Several years ago a man gave the power to move freely from the real world into a world where monsters invisible to the human eye roamed and destroyed everything to a young boy. Together they and his friends found the source of the darkness that spawned such dark creatures and eliminated it, saving their young friend in the process. They continued their lives without knowing if their new friend, the mysterious man who'd given them this power, would return to their world with more urgent need of them to protect their world.

These friends continued their lives without interruption....until now....

The Dark has risen again with a stronger plan to combine the world of light with his realm of darkness. Though our heros who protected us have passed on and now we must turn to a new unwilling hero to protect us.... Less like a hero, the man chosen to aid mankind has unlocked a new form of power the old heros never had. His shadow came to life and now fights beside him, sensing the new Dark monsters that arise from the dark cracks that form along the lines of our world and theirs. With aid, the Dark Hunters he forms and shows the unwilling truth to will be forced to fight for their lives and the lives of those they love.

Important Terms:​

Diri​

Diri is the name of the dark monsters that form from the dark cracks along our realm and theirs. Their forms differ few times when they enter the world of light. They are formed much like lizards walking on two legs with scythes embedded into their forearms.


Dark Hunters

Dark Hunters are members of an organization that become shadows to fight the Diri and associate with the Realm of Darkness to fight the Dark. They're personality changes when they step into the shadows and their shadow changes in appearance. Those who choose to protect their world in the shadows often are found searching for "Master" and encounter him in the most disturbing ways.


Light Hunters

Light Hunters are members of an organization that work from the light side of the realms. They fight against the Dark Hunters and the Dark soldiers that appear in the world of light. Most of the members have a long standing hatred for the shadow wielding man who calls himself "Master". Those that choose to be Light Hunters meet both "Master" and Corona early on in their new career.​

The World of Shadow: a world where no human being of the light can set foot. The Diri take physical form in the shadow world and humans who are released from their bodies take their forms inside the shadows either exactly as they were or they can change shape.

The World of Light: a world that we live in. The Diri appear invisible in this world and cannot be fought in this world. Damage in this world from the Diri is real and easier to die this way. Normal life continues in this world without knowledge of the shadow world or the Diri.

Bio: When Alex turned 17, he realized something was different about his shadow. He would watch it carefully and the he realized it had a mind of its own. It moved on it own, talked to him, hug him and would protect him if he lost focus in battle. Alex had grown attached to his shadow. Then he fell in love with her. . .

Name: Steven Attrosickle

Appearance: Black messy scruffy hair that falls down just above his eyes, very pale skin, green eyes, alot of his teeth are sharp (almost like fangs). 5"4 in height, a skinny build. Wears a black shirt and blue pants and has fingerless gloves on his hands.
Gender: Male
Faction: Light hunters
Weapon: Wears fingerless gloves and fights unarmed.
Personality: Can be cruel at times, enjoys taunting his opponents, stands up for what he thinks is right.
Bio: Steven was an orphan. His parents died in a car crash and as such grew up without any support from family. As a young child he often got into fights, winning some and losing some. There was rarely a day he didn't fight. As such, he is an expert at hand to hand combat, though he has been known to use surrounding objects to his advantage. He believes the dark hunters to be evil, and though he likes their stlye of fighting he opposes what them as an organization. He will attempt to do anything he can in order to kill all the dark hunters.
