I admit that trailer looks cool and hoping that the gameplay is decent... but I know that I'll have to get used to dem character designs lololol

Man, every screen I see makes this look like a completely different franchise with rings thrown in. I don't mind it when a series makes a change, but when the design change is a failed (imo) attempt at realism it just comes off as looking gross. Reminds me of Elise and Sonic standing in the same frame and looking reeeal weird.

 

I'm probably in the minority who is perfectly open to change, after seeing the excellent condition of the past 10 years in Sonic games.

 

Ha I get it. Because of Tails. Funny funny.

 

I honestly think this looks good. After a bit, Knuckles's design grew on me.

 

Especially considering that he's no longer essentially a red Sonic with pointy gloves.

 

Now, I haven't followed Sonic at all, but why can they all run as fast as Sonic? Isn't that his thing? Like, he runs fast, and Knuckles punches **** and Tails flies and that pink one has a hammer and they do their thing and they're not all the same as each other?

 

If the team were going for realism, Sonic would actually look like this:

That game mechanic has been around since Sonic first teamed up with Tails idk how many years ago. It's not a new thing. I suppose if you're playing the game and you have to wait for other characters to catch up to you, you'd be pretty bored of it after a while, just for 'realism' sake.

 

All I can say is; Bandages...lots and lots of..bandages..

 

Can we talk about how this is being made by the Crash Bandicoot team

...and come to think of it, Crash Bandicoot games share a lot of similarities with the new 3D Sonic style of gameplay

Maybe he's just not running top speed for their sake. The Flash isn't constantly moving lightspeed either.

 

I didn't mean Sonic Mach 100™, but since they're all moving fast enough to have streaks of light coming out their asses... You know... That's... Kinda... Fast.
