    I've always called him Tee-dus since that's a more English-English pronunciation as opposed to an American-English Tai-dus.
I mean, if you look at the way it's spelt it clearly isn't Tai-dus. "Ti" doesn't may "Tai" it makes "Tee" in this situation. IMO.

Since I don't know how much American and British English differ from each other, can you please explain how Tee-dus sounds more "English-English"?

In English, the letter "i" makes an "ai" sound like in the word "bide" so I can see how people would say it as "Tai-dus". "Ti" ,most of the time, would only be pronounced as "Tee" if the person is speaking in a language that originates from Latin and English is a language of Germanic origin which is has a different sound for the letter "i".

In the end, the official pronunciation is Tee-dus but I can see how people would pronounce it as Tai-dus.

It has always been Tai-dus for me, I see no point in changing how I pronounce it, Like I still call Nouveau Nova (Novau Nova) at times. when I clearly know how it's correctly pronounced but I won't post that here :]

So in conclusion, I will still call him Tai-dus, I don't have dissidia so...
    It's pronounced Tai-dus in FFX, and we all know that FFX came out before Dissidia ;-;

His name was never said in FFX since you could change it to anything. That's why so many people have arguments over this.

Tai-dus sounds better to me too.
    Tee-dus? TEE-DUS? TEA-DUS? MORE TEA MR. TEA-DUS? XD
Now, Tai-dus sounds a lot better. Your mouth wants to keep saying, "Tai-dus! Tai-dus! TAI-DUS!"
    Tai-dus > Tea-dus

Tai dus does sound a hell of a lot better than tee dus. makes him sound too much like a sissy with tee dus.

You wouldn't be saying that just because you're Jecht, would you?

There's 'it sounds cooler' and then there's 'it's based on a word from a real-world language and this is how it's said there'. 'Tai-dus' sounds cooler, but 'Tee-da' is correct.

This is the same problem I have with The Castle of Cagliostro. There's 'it looks like it's said that way' (Cag-lee-OH-stro) and 'it's based on spelling from a real language so it's pronounced this way' (Kai-YOH-stro; gli forms a 'yeast' sound in Italian). Unfortunately, the first option was taken by both the Japanese version and the English version.

Pretty much the same story for me. I always called him Tai-dus. And despite knowing that his name is officially pronounced Tee-dus, after saying Tai-dus for so long, it just sounds off. The same thing goes for Zidane from FF IX. I always thought the "e" on the end was spoken, so as his name would sound like "Zi-don-eh." But it was spoken as simply "Zi-don" in Dissidia. Despite knowing this, I continue to call him "Zi-don-eh" to this day. I think this truly comes from playing games like Final Fantasy titles in a day an age where screen text was the only form of communication, as most voice acting had not been implemented yet. Each person imagines how character's names are pronounced differently. Then, they reuse characters in titles much farther in the future with voice acting, and give their names pronunciations that just sound totally messed up and ruin your mind's eye picture of the game. Interesting question.

Once again with Zidane - Zidane is a real name, and it's French. It's understandable to not get the correct pronunciation when the word is in text because you don't know it at the time, but you shouldn't be surprised when such things sound different when actually said.

I used to pronounce it Tee-dus, but Tai-dus has sorta grown on me, so that's how I pronounce it now.

No, he said Tee-dus. Selphie said Tai-dus in KH2.
