Lelouch sat in his study, staring at a photo of him and his parents. Sighing, he remembered how happy they used to be.

 

Alex knocked on the door of Lelouch's study. "May I come in?" He asked. "Or is it a bad time?"​

 

Lelouch looked up and grabbed his eyepatch. Putting it over his eye, he put away the picture. "You may come in."

 

"Thank you." Alex said, quietly. "What were you doing in here anyway?" He walked in and took a seat.​

 

Lelouch smiled slightly, resting his elbow on the arm of the chair. Resting his head on his fist, he stared at him. "Am I not allowed to visit my father's study?"

 

Alex chuckled a bit. "Of course." He said. "I've never asked you this before. But, why do you wear that eyepatch? For all the years I've known you, you've never told me why you wear it."​

 

Lelouch blinked at the sudden question. "Do you really wish to know that?" He asked standing up, his eye locked on Alex.

 

"Of course I do." He said. "If I didn't want to know, why would I ask you?"​

 

Lelouch shrugged, smirking. "Just don't stare please." Reaching up to the eye patch, he took it off slowly. Then opening his eye, Lelouch looked at Alex. "My real eye under the mask. Purple with a gold star, no pupil whatsoever."

 

Alex blinked a few times, amazed, then smiled. "Why didn't you just tell me?" He asked, giggling. "I think it looks cool!" He looked away because he didn't want to accidently to stare at it for too long. He looked back. "Any other secrets you have?" He laughed.​

 

"I made a pact with a demon to prolonge my life only cursing me with this eye, I'm kinda a know-it-all and currently, with this eyepatch off, I can see how long you have left to live aswell as your name." Lelouch grinned.

 

Alex's smile turned into a scared look. "So...um...how long do I have to live?" He asked, nervously.​

 

Flynn lightly knocked on the door, keeping his hood up. He looked down at the letter. Chosen one... he thought with a little laugh, then knocked on the door again. "Excuse me, is this where we're supposed to meet?" he called.

James woke up. That was some nap. He yawned and waited for his eyes to come fully in to focus. He looked at the stack of papers on his desk. They were mainly about the Black Rose, his father had really left him nothing except for a piece of paper with four words on it, he had to do this research by himself. "Must have fell asleep from doing this." James got up and stretched.
