Okay, i've been thinking about this for awhile. Last year, i finished posting a short story on here titled Three Angels. I got a lot of positve feedback from the story and i felt proud of myself.

Should i start re-writing the story and make it longer (around 200 pages long) and actually get it published?

And how exactly do i go and get a story published?

I belive you should. If nothing happens, what do you have to loose? You can gain, though. You should make it longer like you said, though.

Here's some steps on how to get a story published.
    1:Get a friend.
2: Get friend things about your story and send them to a publisher.

Most big publishers might not take your story for publication if you haven't ever published a book before. Start with a small company. Self publication is a option, and it's cheaper I believe.

    3: Wait for a reply.
4: If they say yes, then that's probably that.
5: If they say no and list reasons why and give suggestions, follow them and send them a copy with their suggestions included. Always keep the origional worrk incase you decide to use a difrrent company so they can give diffrent suggestions.
5: You might need a illustrater.

It might take them a while to notify you back, so send them your work only when you're sure you've done what you could with it.

Once it's published and sold, their's almost no taking it back if someone buys it.

Even if just one person buys it, you want to make sure it's a enjoyable experience for that one person. Post posters up around your area. If you have a library near you, they might take it and reccomend it to some people.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
