    I saw this on TechArena (A vBulletin forum for computer help) earlier. I couldn't find what version of vBulletin it uses and, chances are, this might require spdude's help, but if not, it might be useful.

    When posting a new thread, under the "Enter Title" line, there's a notice:
    After typing a title, a box appears with similar threads already made.
    This could cut down on duplicate threads since a lot of members don't always search before making a thread.

    I don't know how effective it can be, or if we can implement it, but it might be worth looking into.

    this new vB site im on has that, it helps whenever I have to write rules pages, it gives suggestions based on what you have posted before, helpful i think

    It doesn't give suggestion on what YOU have posted before, it automatically gives a small list of similar threads, by title, after typing a title. Any similar thread will be listed, posted by anyone, not just you.
