I did for when I was getting the general shape (i.e. piling a mountain of snow) but for the details and smoothing things out, yeah, I didn't wear gloves. xD
They were really red at first, but it's fine now. :3

 

Wow, no gloves. You should make your gloves out of snow, that'll work wonders I'm sure.
