Chain of Memories This is SO puzzling.

If Many of the organization members faded / were destroyed in KH Chain of memories, then how are they back in KH2 and KH2 final mix?!! Ex. Larxene, Vexen, and Marluxia.

I NEED AN ANSWER!

 

They aren't the real versions of them but more like ghosts. E.g. when you kill someone their spirit comes back and haunts you which is precisely what they are doing.

If you're going to ask why Zexion and Lexeaus are after Sora despite he not defeating him it's probably because they are trying to do the organization one final favour (Ridding the world of the keyblade wielder) before fading into darkness.

 

They are simply data versions of the real Org.XIII that is all. They aren't ghosts.

No because then, what is their use, they can never again be whole if they're...data. unless this is the group conspiring against the organization

 

In KH2:FM the data versions only real purpose was so that the player can fight them over & over again. There may be a whole different purpose behind it but i don't think anyone know's yet.

Actually there is, you gotta beat all of them so that you can fight the E.S.

I wasn't talking about the data fights. In Twilight Town, Underworld, Beasts Castle, Isle De Muerta and Agrabah there are floating images of the organization XIII members who were killed in CoM weapons and once touching the portal you will fight not a data but a 'ghost' of them. The data versions are located in the cavern of rememberance in Hollow Bastion.

But you're right, I was using the word ghost as that was the closest thing they are

 

I've heard that the floating ones are the easier versions of the battles in the Cave of Rememberance. They're just to unlock the harder data battles that happen later.

 

That's incorrect. You fight the ES if you have unlocked the first secret ending and beaten (and saved after) the game. Honestly, though, the Final Mix+ Silhouettes and Data battles are purely fanservice. There's really no story behind them, and if there is, Square hasn't revealed it yet. No point thinking about it, considering the whole organization is dead now (unless they make a prequel next).

 

they are data replicas. the cutscene before the battle the come in computerize like DiZ with roxas. then when you win, they sometimes bow to you

 

The XIII members you call "ghosts" are silhouettes of the originals. I think a hint would be the ABSENT SILHOUETTE mentioned in about every single text box before the battles.

And the data fights are just data, nothing else.

More specifically, Demyx calls them something like "weapons that have been tainted by powerful existences." The translation's a little rough, but you get the general idea.

They weren't flashbacks or memories...they were just stored data and nothing more.

They are sort of Data versions of them- in a world like Roxas' twilight town- like that.
