Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, and certain parts of Canada, Alaska and Iceland would like a word with you.

    >There are no permanent human settlements south of the Antarctic Circle, so the countries and territories whose populations experience Midnight Sun are limited to the ones crossed by the Arctic Circle, e.g. Canada (Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut), Denmark (Greenland), Finland, Sápmi, Norway, Russia, Sweden, the United States (Alaska), and extremities of Iceland. A quarter of Finland's territory lies north of the Arctic Circle and at the country's northernmost point the sun does not set at all for 60 days during summer. In Svalbard, Norway, the northernmost inhabited region of Europe, there is no sunset from approximately 19 April to 23 August. The extreme sites are the poles where the sun can be continuously visible for a half year.

I don't dislike darkness, I just prefer light any time of the day.

I like that it's dark but I hate that I have to get up and freeze while its dark. Not cool. Love the rain to but again walking a dog in the rain...yea not fun. Plus the darker it gets the closer we are to winter! <3

Actually...no. It's possible for the sun to be out at 9PM during the summer in some places. If I remember correctly, the closer you are to the poles determines how much longer days are during the summer and nights during the winter.
