I followed a tut on this one and it came out better than I expected.

Wow! Thats really good. The hand-sketched look doesn't usually work, but now it looks incredible! Great work.

 

Awesome job! I suggest you find something more better now. That pic is like common around these parts so how about finding a new pose? :3 But this is good enough. ^^

 

Yes, well, I'm having this entered in the latest SOtW contest and the theme is halloween and Sora is the only thing that came to mind.

So, any other CnC from anyone?

Seems very over contrasted. Maybe desaturate the colors a bit.

 

I like how the sharpened look makes it look sketchy, but...it was way overdone. The colors didn't exactly go that well with the contrast, either. Makes it look too choppy.

Also, did you make the background yourself? It looks like you took a picture of fire and repeated it in a frenzy of ways :/

I think it looks good. I'm not sure if any improvements even need to be done.

 

Yes, I did make the background myself. I basically pasted Sora's render over and over and then just used the Iwarp effect on them and then the background was made.

 

This looks super awesome to me! I like the lively colors in it and how Sora almost blends into the background. Bravo.

 

It's not very well blended in there and the sharpness and contrast makes it stick out like a sore thumb. Your background is alright but nothing really fancy about it and now real wow factor. The stock you used in general is not the best for a grungy style. I know, i've tried with it.
